I think it is a fairy tale, it defies all logic and reasoning. If there is a God, why didn't he tell the Jews to keep the middle east, where all the oil is?

You know 'dealer', I think that if we were ALL to love ALL GODS equally, instead of ONE SPECIFIC and Limited GOD in particular, all the problems of humanity would be resolved!

That's why I love GODS!!

All of them.

They're all the greatest!!!

And if I can't love them all, then I don't care for any!!!

Jean is from Russia originally, and does not speak English as well as Americans.

Let's please be kind.flowerforyou

She also lost both her parents recently.

I too am of similar background...and have lost both my parents also.

Let us show love and compassion towards Jean .....for in showing love and kindness, we will all be blessed in return ....for loving kindness shall surely also be shown back unto us.:heart::heart:

for the record, I wasn't making fun, I just found it ironic that it could have quite the opposite meaning depending on the infliction. I would never make fun of someone who I knew to be learning something new.

 Daydreamer, you are also a very beautiful young lady.
Did you know that?flowerforyou
But always let your inner beauty shine thru also.

The right person for you will be the one who truly appreciates your inner beauty also.

Btw,The most beautiful person I knew was Mother Teresa.

God never created junk.......God created us All...Unique and Beautiful..and in His Image.

ps..Some of the loneliest people in the world are very beautiful top models.. but have been treated as arm candy...and nothing more.
They need love too.

Let us love one another and be kind to one another......always.

That's funny you mention God not creating junk. I'm not religious at all, but I don't deny a possibility of God either.

I grew up with a sign in my room that said: "I know I'm somebody 'cause God don't make no junk." It had a picture of a grumpy looking boy on it. Thought I'd throw that out there.

Rom 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Jn 4: 9&10: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Yes. I love God. His love was manifested in his provision for my sins. If you're never asked him into your life, asked him to forgive your sins, told God you believe in his Son and that God raised him from the dead, I'd urge you to do this and get baptized as soon as possible.

The Lord stands at the door of our heart and knocks. If any man (or woman) hears and opens, he will come in and fellowship with you and you with him. That's my paraphrase of Rev. 3:20 at any rate. flowerforyou

I was baptized. And I don't agree with it because I wasn't asked to be. Religion should not be imposed on those that cannot make a choice by free will. What can I say? I'm a humanist. If that clashes with religion, so be it. I just don't choose sides on the issue of religious belief. As long as people treat others with repect, that's fine by me.

Oh,definitely. God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus are gentlemen. They won't come into your life unless you ask them in. It is said that the answer to the question, Could God make anything that is impossible to penetrate? is the human heart. God can't get into it unless we let him in.

He's ready when you are.

With all my respect and chagrin , how can anyone believe that god is a gentleman ?.

After Buddha was dead, his shadow was still shown for centuries in a cave -- a tremendous, gruesome shadow. God is dead; but given the way of men, there may still be caves for thousands of years in which his shadow will be shown. -- And we -- we still have to vanquish his shadow, too.

Yes...as I said previously, I believe in God, I have felt his spirit within me and he has spoken through me. Some feel that God does not exist because their prayers go unanswered...I was told once that God always answers all our prayers...but sometimes he simply says no. Without my faith I would not want to exist...without my faith...I would not
