Yea, I'm married. I've had second thoughts about coming here. A good friend talked me into it. She's been here a while. Many of my ex-website friends are here. I'm finding them slowly. But, it seems as though no matter where I turn, I'm getting the feeling I shouldn't be here because of my marital status. Who else is just here for ****s and giggles?

WTF, I'm here to find someone Just a thought. The thing is, when I went searching for dating sites , this place popped up as a dating site!! I now know different I guess. It's a dating site!!!!! Humm and have you had a date from here yet? Well is it not best that they be honest about it then come in here and give some false hope? You see there are a lot more here then most realize that are just friends and not looking. Myself I came in not looking then started looking then got shafted a few times and quit looking again. I figure if it happens it happens if not I will enjoy the friends I have meet on the way.

I am completely happy when I'm not being reminded of how everyone else has the things I dream about... it's depressing sometimes, but you should be happy for others. Share in the joy and then surprizing things happen. I have never known love to come in the direction you want when your looking for it. I know this sounds terrible...lol, but I'm tired of being happy for others for getting married, having kids and all that stuff that I want more than anything. I want to be happy for ME on that front, which has never happened and probably never will. I gave up on "looking for it" a long time ago...lol, I just don't want to hear how "happy" everyone else is so that I don't have to really think about it. Yes, I have a profile on here. I have it up on the off chance there IS someone paying attention. However, if you weigh more than 110lbs and dont' look like a perfect model the likelihood of actually finding someone is SLIM. That is NOT true.  I am not 110 pounds. I don't look like a model. And I don't have any problems in the dating world because of that. There are quality men out there that care more about a person's personality.

And to those who don't want to see people who are happy in a relationship, I don't know what to tell you......anywhere you go you will see couples together. But spending your time under a rock won't open you up to the possibilities of a relationship of your own. My best friend told me more than once, and it finally sunk in.....YOU HAVE TO BE HAPPY WITH YOURSELF, BEFORE ANYONE WILL BE HAPPY WITH YOU!!! I'm thrilled with myself...lol, its the dating world that has me annoyed. My problem seems to be that I am SO secure in who I am it intimidates men for some reason. I refuse to play stupid or bow down. It would take an emotionally strong man to be with me, and accept that I dont' need him to save me. |

No way in Hell would I ever do that, it is because I am emotionally strong that I have become ready to be in a relationship. I don't need a man to save me and I wouldn't look for one to do that. If you can't be happy for other couples then you can't be happy for yourself because what happens the day a relationship opportunity opens up for you? You seem to look down on couples, and that is just sad. Even in my most down of days, have I ever NOT felt happy for people who have found love. |

wow...so many diverse opinions but do you see what i mean? i came here for the forums and friends yes... and i'm very up front about my marital status.... been married 13 years and faithful just as long. thank you all for the feedback.... and for all of you that believe i'm 'dissing' my husband by being here....rest assured...i'm a good girl. Never a doubt in my mind, i have known this lady for at least four years, and i can assure you she is a gem! AWE!!!!!! |

The site is for single people. But there is a married option for status I think. No offense... But I've had a few problems with married people on here not being honest about it. I personally would be livid if I found my husband on a dating site..even if his friend invited him here, I'd be mad at that friend too for even suggesting it.. when my husband could IM with that friend or pick up the phone... just me though JMHO |
