Note: This is a little lengthy, but I hope that you do read it and enjoy it. flowerforyou

I observe alot, especially when on here. You guys don't know this about me (cause I don't show it often), but deep down inside, I am a romantic at heart. Always have been, probably always will be. I've noticed that we have alot of romantics on this site, which really says something to me. And that something is that the world has really become a place for the get in, get out "I think it is love" (but it isn't, hence I was wrong) generation. Don't get me wrong. I am thankful for sites like this, cause they give you the chance to meet new people, make friends and hopefully find that ONE person who completes you. But I also think that this site, and its' existence, proves that our world just doesn't care about relationships, and the true meaning behind them.

Think about it. I can remember when "love" really meant something between two people. My parents are prime examples. They have been married for 30 years now, and while it hasn't always been easy, they have weathered the storms because they truly love one another. You see, love is not lust (although I do believe that you can and probably do lust the person you are with). Love is something that no one word can describe, but it is something that all of us search for, and the majority of us want. It can the best thing in the world...and it can also hurt like hell. Nobody ever said it would be easy. But that is the thing. Something like Love shouldn't be. It should require your efforts (and your partners efforts) to make it a success. It should have those moments where it will hurt, only because we are human beings, and being such we are so damn fallable.

And yet, in our society, we want love so fast that when we think we have found it, we jump in without fully realizing what we have and what it will take to make it work. In our society we use the word love so freely that it seems we've even confused ourselves as to what it really means. Love isn't one thing. It is a myriad of things all rolled into one. The reason I love someone might be different from why some other person loves their mate. But their is one common word that the majority of us do use when we describe why we love that person. That word is amazing. And if you don't have that "amazing" feeling about the person you are with...then you won't last.

"She's so amazing in some of the things she does. She sends me sweet little texts during the day that make me smile. Or, "she wakes up in the morning and is just so happy I am with her, and vice versa. It's amazing!" Or, "When I was down, she was right their to hold me, hug me and kiss me and their to tell me everything will eventually be okay. She is just amazing like that." Folks, if you can desribe your partner as amazing, then hold onto them. If you can't, look deep inside of you and see if that person really is amazing to you (chances are they may or may not be). And if you haven't found that person yet, then I pray one day that you do. Cause that is why you are here isn't it? You are here looking for that one, amazing person who will complete you right? I hope you are.

Amazingly I read the entire thing as well, my thoughts summed up in a nice bit of writing.smokin

That being said, I hope a lot of people find love...but it is so damn difficult anymore that I've about given up on it even existing, but I hold out hope.smokin

What a nice way of summing up a single word that has such a mulititude of "meaning".
I too hope that everyone finds "love" at least once in their lifetime, so they can fully experience the all different wonderful feelings associated with "love".
