U go by your own understanding. Not what the scriptures say.

Peters vision was to go to cornilus and the sheet coming down 3 times of the unclean he wondered what it meant. He did not change his mind.

When the 3 who were sent Peter knew then what was being told him. That no man is unclean.

Read the last of acts 10 and 11 explains it quite well.

The other that you speak of was speaking about meat that had been offered to idols. They said it means nothing to us go ahead and eat the clean meat.

Isa says those who eat swine and the rat will be consumed together. They obviously refuse to listen.

So is Isa 66:17 just a fantacy?Blessings

and theres no tellin what they put n the feed so is it safer 2 eat pork out of the supermarket or a wild hog?

Supermarket. No contest. Until you have seen a wild pig eating, you won't believe what they will eat. Feces of any animal. Dead, rotting carcasses. I once saw a pig eat a jelly jar, which had some jelly on the inside. It chewed up the glass and ate the whole thing. Once, as a child, my father barely saved me from being eaten by wild pigs. They will eat anything, including the feces and carcasses of dead pigs, which may be infected with diseases.

It appears that we cannot agree, but that's okay in my opinion. I wish you well.

During the summer, homocides go up.

During the summer, people eat more icecream.

Therefore, icecream consumption is directly related to homocides.

Statistics are great, but they can easily be misinterpreted.

I am just quoting scripture. What you do with it is your business. But the 2007 cancer rate ffrom Israel to N America is

NA 934,509 810,866 1,745,375 370,052 329,978 700,,030 this includes different cancers is why the numbers are the way they are

Western Asia 116,706 109,182 225,888 82,701 62,843 145,544

Those numbers and what the scriptures say will bring on diseases to you.

Are something to really consider the possibilities.. Faith Right...Blessings Miles

And drink only herbal teas and fruit or veggie juice.

Wow, Miles very interesting. I've heard many various stories of the disease in animals that can affect humans adversly. Mad cow disease, Parkinsons from eating lamb and goats, specifically the brains, and many others.

So since there have been so many such findings, I don't understand why the bible would make eating only pork a sin?

Why is that?

And also, as some Christians have led us to believe, the sins in the Old Testament over 600 of them are all still sins. So WHY DO CHRISTIANS STILL EAT PORK?

Interesting.

Of course just recently we couldn't even buy scalions or tomatoes, selmanela. Scary stuff.

Well, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, and such were set up as rules for the ancient Israelites to follow to be healthy, strong, and live well. There are any number of rules in those books that don't make much sense in the context of modern medicine, hygiene or justice.

From studying those rules, I guess we can wonder if they weren't a bunch of feral incestuous man-beasts killing and eating their way around ancient Palestine before God found 'em.

If you have to have rules like no pooping in the middle of camp, no jerking-off in camp, and other even less savory guidelines too public behavior, you have some pretty wild creatures on your hands.

I determine what is good for food by studying the Scriptures. I do not eat pork I do not eat rat. I only eat fish that has fins and scales.

If I was starving and the only thing around was pig or rat or some other forbidden food, I would depend on Yahweh to provide a meal or else I would starve to death.

Shalom!

LOL, so the only difference between there and america is pork consumption is it? So if I go over there it will be exactly the same except I can't get a ham sandwich at subway? Interesting indeed.

I'm confused....

Why the comparison to rat or pork?

Rats dont have cloven hooves....

goats, sheep and pigs do...

And why be all prickly about what some mouldy 2000 year old book says to do or not do?

Why not use your intelligence to seek out EDUCATION, as in educate yourself, by what is good for your body, (the physical one) and then look at what sits well with your (spiritual) body.

Commonsense, and an ounce of pragmatism goes a loooooooong way.

You dont wanna eat pigs? So be it.

I dont want to eat any sentient creature? So be it.

But I dont need a mouldy old book to dictate to me, what is ok.

I would think you might be able to get a ham sandwich in the christian sections, there are also many agnostic or non-practicing jews there who therefore find no reason to obey dietary laws and eat whatever they would like....

FYI- I was curious so I wanted to check out your specific point- I was unable to check the theorhetical question as it appears that there is no Subway in Israel....

hopefully this won't deter anyone from visiting what I'm sure is otherwise a lovely and certainly incredibly culturally fascinating nation....
laugh

LOL, my point was that he was saying that the difference in cancer cases was related to pork. The only way that could be verified is if the only different variable was pork and we all know that isnt the case. I was just being sarcastic.
