Olive only goes out to potty. She hasn't had a flea in 7 years or a tick in about 3. She doesn't go in tall grass. I found it before it latched on, because I keep her clean. She could not survive Wisconsin winters outside.

I think this is a case of compatability. I wouldn't be dating someone who didn't love pets like I do, so it would't be an issue. I am willing to compromise, but Olive has been with me for 8 years, since she was 4 weeks old. I bottle fed her & she slept in my coat pocket when I was driving. She's too spoiled to expect her to change much now!

Well, when I was with my ex, Shadow would stare, we'd notice and, tell him to shoo. He did. It was simple. This guy is not. He want's his dog in the bed. Dog's belong on the floor. And, male dog's stare!!!!!! They don't go away on their own. Not like a female would.

dogs get ticks,fleas and eat nasty stuff when they're outside.if you don't want them doing that than keep them inside

To be serious. Its about metting in the middle. Compromise. Reading each others feelings and thoughts and knowing what is the right thing to do.

Choosing a battle wisely and not backing down. Make sure the battle you choose is something you feel passionate about. Not every issue is the same. To each thier own. We all see things in our own perspective. How we interpret is individualized by past experiences, current emotions and optimistic futures. Commnication is commonly lost in interpretation. I may say something and its true meaning is mistaken for something else.

Explain that you do not want that to happen. If he doesn't see your viewpoint and insists on it then you have little to do. Accept it or do not sleep with him any longer.
