""a while ago 2 lil kittens found me. sadly they were both saturated in oil and gasoline! we have been fighting for them to get better so they could get homes. tonight i did find another group of cat rescuers to foster them that have more clinical experience than i do. which is a good thing. but one of them is likely to die by tomorrow due to complications. all my jokes aside, im a very kind hearted person and this just breaks my heart. i dont understand animal torture. i've been crying all night. apparently gas does more than just provide a possible fire for an animal. they ingest it when they try to clean it off. it soaks into their skin and causes blisters and sores. i have found homes for a number of discarded cats and ferrel babies but its just so damn tiring when they keep popping up. this is the first time i've dealt with abused kittens and im just so angry! what is so ****ing hard about spaying or nuetering your pets? what is so evil in some people that they wish to harm such pure and innocent love! in the end the saddest thing of all is the knowledge that there is nothing i can do. but sit here, hurt, and cry.

If a person treats helpless animal infants this way, image how they will treat babies, children, or even you! Animal cruelty is just pure cruelty. I don't want to be around people who think this is okay. We will never reduce violence among people if we can't stop violence against animals.

in my experience, such things as cruelty stem from an utter and complete lack of brain-cellls- they aren't aware to the fact that dousing such dangerous chemicals as gasoline on living beings can be FATAL. they aren't aware that they can be arrested for serious charges if they're caught inflicting harm to defenseless animals.

I honestly can't bear to finish reading what you wrote. I'm so disgusted by the nasty side of people. Hurting and killing innocents is so alien to me and it gets me so depressed even hearing, seeing or reading about it. The attrocities humans are capable of make my blood curdle.

There is no excuse for mistreating animals or humans. I am so glad that there are now huge penalties to pay when they catch these creeps. They make me sick. I have two dogs out of pet rescues myself and they are the sweetest, most gentle of dogs, one being a German Sepherd. I'd have no problem punching the lights out of any abuser, of animals or humans.

Look up the Roman Coliseum in its heyday...the slaughtering of countless animals and humans for entertainment...this stuff sadly isn't new...we've come so far and still we never learn

I have to agree with you. If there were two things in the road, an animal and a human I would make sure to swerve and the hit the human. Animals love unconditionally and even wild animals will only kill you due to survival or if they feel threatened. I have a cat that has a thyroid problem. The vet thought she would die 4 years ago due to the medication eating her kidneys. I do a lot of reading on this and give her more love than possible and here she is. She's 14 years old and even tho I will be devastated when she does go, I'll know I did everything I possibly could for her. It's not that they are not aware. They simply don't care. Perhaps they don't know that it will likely kill the animal (although I bet they do), but of course they know it's cruel and, at the very least, harmful.

I worked for the Humane Society & Animal control. I was amazed at the things people think of. The scariest part is that people are often creul to animals to send a threatening message to a person, or as a subsitute for harming a person until they get bolder.

And Dog-Fighting A**holes I got NO USE for....

Sometimes it makes it hard to find the hope for humanity.

Does anyone know anything about "cage fighting"? I heard there was going to be "cage fighting" at a local truck stop/bar & the guys were very excited. I of course didn't go, it sounds crazy to me. What is the pleasure in violence? I don't understand. I can't watch fighting in a movie.

This post is unbelieveably sad. I won't even kill spiders in my house. If I am threatened by them, I catch them and put them outside.

Why would someone hurt a kitten? What goes through their minds?
