true self online? I mean do you share your feelings and what makes your clock tick? Do you drop the walls that hide you and share your inner self? do you take the risk and risk getting crushed after you lay it all out with someone?

Without be who you are the risk of being crushed is even greater. I believe that if people don't like me for me then they probably don't need to be around me anyway. When I am true to who I am it always leads to good.

I probably feel a little "safer" online than in person, but I confess I'm still somewhat guarded...

I am who I am. Online...real life...all the same. Only difference is, online I am slightly less LOUD than I am in person. I wouldn't say anything here that I wouldn't say in a face to face meeting. As far as dropping the walls that hide me.....I hide nothing from anyone. If they ask the right questions, I will give them the answers they seek. Even if it means turning them away from myself.

This is the way it ought to be. why say you are something you are not, risking other's feelings and emotions? possibly causing damage that will be hard to heal or mend?

I'm blunt, I portray this well online...to the point, another part I portray well online. I am who I am, don't disclose too much about myself even if I were to meet someone.

I'd say I'm completely honest...not really "hiding" per se...just knowing that type is often misunderstood (no way to REALLY express emotion or inflection right) and also...still getting to know everyone :)

I am different in real life to how i portray myself in the forums. Nearly everyone i have met from online (and i have met A LOT) have been shocked at the fact that i am actually nice and gentlemanly. People expect Stevo from Jackass or something, but im nothing like that.

With online profiles, such as here, I try to be as honest as I can without revealing too much information; I like to save some things for conversation. For me to really share myself with someone, I have to feel comfortable around them first. I tend to be a bit cautious at first but once I get to know them I tend to share a lot. I wouldn't say I hide anything, I choose when is appropriate. So there, you have two things on me!
