Hold politicians to the oath they take upon entering office.
To uphold the laws and the constitution of the United States!!!

I would also like to see the law that garuntees a congressman his.her
pension after only two years for the rest of their lives (and that
includes pay raises after you leave office) be abolished. Make them
work for their money like you and I have to.

Healthcare is a big plus,,, Thier are families out their who can not

Unemployment is anothe issue that really needs to be addressed as does
the Min. wage pay scale,,,,

First order of business - bring elected government officials back to the
real world. Make them part of the original Democracy that was meant to
be. Running for any posted election for any political office was meant
to be a privelige not a profession. It was meant to be a service that
one felt strongly about prefoming honorably. So how do we make it so?
Since the politicians are the first to admire and report on statistics,
then I say, let them earn a middle class salary for their service. Let
them enjoy the same types of benefits that the middle class worker
enjoys. Nothing more, nothing less. Let them pay the average percent
of their salary for these benefits as statistics say m.c. Americans pay
on average. And allow them the standard 401K match program to provide
for their own retirement as they will only be entitled to the same SS
benefits as everyone else.

Now of course, being middle class citizens they are more likely to
understand the issues we face, because they will be facing them also.
We do not want our service providers to suffer for having such a
position, so we will pay for their coach airfare home once a month the
visit family or have family visit them. And of course modest
accomodations for living will be extended. Afterall, we don't want
them to loose money by serving as our poloticians, we just want their
honesty and thier ability to see life from our perspective. The way it
should have always been.

Oh boy where do I start..
1- Get rid of the Federal Reserve which is no more federal than most of
us. The right to coin money belongs to congress not private bankers. We
should not have to pay interest for money our government can print for
free.
2- Get rid of lobbyist from DC. Let them lobby directly to the state
where they reside or base themselves. Maybe then our elected folks will
make decisions based on their regional need not on their "special
interest" groups.
3- Let the all of the representatives earn a retirement at the same time
most of us do. After a life long career and not full salary after one 6
year term with free medical and all. Might not be so quick to spend our
Social Security money.
4-Get rid of the Electoral college system. That was good when we had no
TV or internet but now lets be like the rest of world and our own school
system He or she who receives the most votes WINS.
5- Maybe just maybe we could leave the rest of the world alone and for
once just take care of our own needs. :-)
6- I have more but I will stop at

RON PAUL "texas" running for president should be looked at seriuosly by
every one. He really seems to be the only legit perosn out there. Listen
to his ideas and tell me if he sounds like the rest of those folks from
either party.

The problem does not lie in the politician when he first runns and or
gets electic. I also believe that it is not the pay they receive now or
in the future. The abuse of benifits that they get only come from years
of practice.

The problem with politicians is and always will be bribes, and back door
deals. The other problem comes from alecting the same damn people over
and over just because of party or name or hell he has been there for 50
yrs let him go another 50.

People stopped voting from the heart to long ago.

Healthcare, first and foremost.

They need to raise minimum wage. $5.15 (or whatever it is currently) is
absolutely ridiculous.

And get Bush out of office. Never should have been there to begin with,
IMO.

Healthcare for every american (legal that is) and for this to INCLUDE
affordable prescriptions, dental and vision for everyone. I want to see
these dam politicians only in office for a certain amount of time
instead of YEARS. Pay em minimum wage and lets see the tough get GOING!!
I want the IRS to go square to H3LL but hey! it clearly states in my
last will and testiment to ship my dead, stinking, body to UTAH with a
note on my toe for those wankers. "you took from me all my life. HERE YA
GO!! KEEP THE CHANGE!!!!"drinker blushing
I am sick and tired of MY CIGARETTES being TAXED. ENOUGH OF THAT CRAP!!!
Start taxing ALCOHOL.
