This morning I find myself Mutual Matched! Only I haven't said 'Yes' to anybody, at least not in recent months. Odd.

On the plus side, she seems like a nice lady.

I think mutual match is a waste of time...no one responds to it...why even bother with it...

And now that I go through my pending MM selections, she's on there. I said 'no' just to see what would happen.... and now's she's gone. Kinda sad.

Ding dong!!!
I've had some mutual matches contact me, but mostly they do not! I don't get it!! And, some, I've written to thinking they were shy. No response from most!! Then, WHY BOTHER!!??

She said yes to you, silly. You act as if there is rhyme or reason to it.....

You mean it will add her to my list of accepted mutual matches when she says yes, even if I have not done anything? She was shown on my main account screen as an accepted mutual match. I thought the whole thing was supposed to be 'secret' until we both said 'yes' .... or at least 'maybe'. And while we're talking about it.... why is there a 'maybe'? It appears to do exactly the same thing as a 'yes'. Is it simply to make me feel less committed?

That is an odd situation, tngxl65. I'll have to do some testing and come back to this...

For starters, we recommend that you peruse the FAQ for Mutual Match, Duffy:
http://mingle2.com/mutual_match/faq

If you find that it's not for you, then you might simply choose to ignore the feature.

Thanks for the post on mutual matches. I was trying to figure it out, too.

So, as a newbie, if I understand this right - mutual matches are mainly computer generated and not necessarily from the "mutual match" listed. And if they are from the "mutual match" listed you have no way of knowing unless you click Yes or Maybe and then get a reponse back?

SOOO mutual match is kind of like an ice breaker?

I see you can't view the next one until you give an answer to the one shown. Not sure if I want play this game. LOL. I will have to do some research and look for some more posts on the subject.
