When he takes out the trash without being asked. when he turns off the television so he can go shopping with you, when he helps with the house work, when he puts the toilet seat down, when he cancels his plans to go with your plans, when he accepts the children you have from a previous relationship as his own, when he writes poetry to you (no matter how bad and cheesey) when he continues to suprise you even after a year in the relationship, when he looks you in the eye with tears in his own and says you have nade him the happiest man in the world, when he gives you the last bit of chocolate, when he cooks for you, when he holds you and kisses you passionately and does not make love to you when he calls you everyday on his lunch break, when he understands why you are crying for no reason and comforts you, when he shows his love to you not just say the words. Anyone can say the words but it is in his actions not his words when you can tell a man loves you. Ya but, how long does that last????????? |

How long depends on the two people. My grandparents were married for 78 years. I personally do not think the world today makes it easy for people to stay together for that long.

Anything he does to let you know he's thinking of you, considering your feelings, giving you support where you may need it and is appreciative of the support you offer him too.
Those things say it all as far as I'm concerned. Hearing it once in a while is always nice too...but these are the main things that make you FEEL that love every day.

The way you know, is you never have to 'wonder' if he is - Someone who truly loves you, it's obvious by just the way they look at you, and the way they treat you all the time (not just part of it). I think someone mentioned in their post that some people play mind-games, something like that..., so it can be hard to tell -- If a person does such things, it's the furthest thing from "love". |

By the way he treats and talk to you over a long period of time,you wont know really until they show how much crud they are putting up with, of differences or etc..if they are nice for a short time means a booty call,if they are nice and understanding far after ,thats love

No idea! Unfortunately there are a few guys out there that have practiced enough to mislead women... Those are the pricks that have ruined it for everyone else. I can say, when my husband would look at me, I felt his love. That man was head over heels inlove with me. It would hurt his heart to touch me because he knew just how much damage I could do to him...little did he know, he had me the same. That's so cool! I soooo want that!  I know it! Sad thing is, once you've had it, you spend the rest of your life hoping to get it again  agreed |
