Daniel, I dislike gibblets, I throw them out for the animals. I use
cornbread in my stuffing along with the various herbs you have already
mentioned!

hey lady hun? I dislikethe giblets as well to eat them by themself.
However, you will find that if you chop them up real fine and add them
to the stuffing yuo wont even notice them. Although funny as it sounds,
you will notice a difference in taste if you do not add them.

hey jack, that sounds tempting (having you buy me dinner) just kep i
nind I like prime rib the best. A good 1lb hunk of prime, cooked to
medium rare with its own juices. About half a poundof mashed potatos
with browngravy made fro the drippings, and a nice large salad.

needles to say I dont gert to eat prime rib very often lol.

Yeah but I'd rather feed the animals; they deserve an easy meal once in
awhile!

Nothing wrong with boxed stuff MOST of the time anyways. It makes things
faster and easier.

listen, there are several ways to cook a turkey. follow advice on jsh,
or do some research. some people cook turkeys in bag overnight. some
cook them the old style in the oven. some bbq them. some forget the
bird, and go rolled roast. some read the directions on the outside of
the bag, and some call the local Cooperative Extension 4-H office to
find out from the local home economists how to cook the thing. you can't
screw up a turkey, unless you turn on high heat, burn the thing, and set
fire to the kitchen.

ok folks turkey went in oven an hour and a half ago...
I figure it shuold be done after about 5 hours of cooking (I stuffed it
first, so wil take a little longer to cook).

as an aside I will also tlel you that I am making mashed potatos (real
not powdered) with brown giblet gravy and a tossed salad.

Tomorrow I will be doing the fresh bread (considering the oven is full
today, lol) to go with leftovers.
