Move at your pace. If you change that for someone now, you'll be forever changing as the relationship forges ahead.

You deserve comfort and Mr Right will want that for you.

This isn't even after talking much. It's usually after a couple short (2 or 3 sentence) emails that they want to meet. Maybe it's just me, but I find that a little weird and too fast.
well yeah then thats rushing it:smile:

Oh please. I said "hi" and you were at my doorstep the next day. laugh

scared A local woman I met on here wanted to see me within the 1st 5 mins!
stupid me did!
I was seduced into a booty call at my own place!
she was atractive and stupid me bought the phoney charm & promises!
My heart was broken & I cried like the sensitive man I am for now 3 months!
I still ain't completely over it!
Take your time is my suggestion!
Don't buy what I fell for!
I feel like a piece of meat that was on sale!tears

Doesn't it make you feel cheap and dirty?
And then later I always feel like damaged goods when they don't call me.

I think dating should be like ordering a pizza. If she's not here in 30 minutes, the nookie is free. laugh

My experience has been the guys that rush you into meeting right away are jerks. So those that are patient to wait until you are ready to meeting, are those that will be patient about other aspects of developing a relationship.

Good to see that there are people who understand flowerforyou. Not that I expect people in the forums not to understand.. cause these kinds of emails and people aren't ones posting in the forums.

I still take the time to get to know them before meeting, that way you know for sure that you are interested & it eases the tension a little.

Yeah, I think so too.

from here or any other site like this, do you usually meet quickly? As in that day or the next? Or, do you chat a bit, then decide if you want to meet? I'm just curious, because the local guys I receive emails from are in such a rush to meet. Almost all of them are the same. I see no harm in waiting a week or two in order to chat a bit first. Most local guys seem to think differently, though.

That seems like a red flag. Slow and steady wins the race and all that.

The ones that I met too quickly, I ended up not liking. I learned my lesson. I go slow now.

Yeah thats been my experience also that just about any local guy wants to meet me immediately and do a "weekend thing". I mean for christ sake, thats moving very fast. Im like you. I want to communicate with a man back and forth online to get a sense of who he is, what his intentions might be towards me and their intelligence level and interests.

The thing is, if I wanted a one night stand, I could go to a local bar here any evening I so desired.

Men dont seem to understand that acquiring sex is easy for a woman.

I try to speak with them on the phone also before aranging a face to face meeting.

I put them through the paces. .

TOTALLY

You deserve the good stuff.

There isn't a girl in this forum not worth waiting for in my experience. That's cause the ones with personalities have nothing to hide by hanging around in here.

Most men. I understand that perfectly fine. That's why I'm grateful for even so much as a kind word.
