I seem to have this lump of wax built up in one of my ears. It has been there for a while now. It does not impair my hearing very much of the time. What is the best way to remove it safely?

Warm Olive Oil and an ear candle.

You can get ear candles at any health food store. They cost about a dollar and you only need one for both ears, you'll be AMAZED what comes out when you do it. They can give you instructions on how to use it, it's very easy, but you have to watch not to set yourself on fire.

Do this the next time you're in the shower (a doctor gave me this advice once)-

Position your head so that the shower streams shoot into your ear canal, with the water being as warm as you can stand (meaning NOT scalding hot, as that would suck). Then tilt your head over and get the water out of said ear canal. Do this for a couple of times, and do the same to the other ear.

It'll flush any and all ear wax out of your canals in no time. It's much safer than using Q-Tips (which you should NEVER put in your ears), and isn't as time-consuming, either.

Few drops of Hydrogen Peroxide/warm water, or half rubbing alcohol/half vinegar......

Peroxide will 'boil', so you will get a "Snap, Crakle, Pop" like you have Rice Krispies in your headslaphead scared

But really, these do work...

You do not want to put Peroxide or alcohol in your ear as it will get into your digestive system and that is very unhealthy for you.

Tilt your head to the side, exposing the ear fully. Next, take a little water and wet said side of head. Lastly, take your toilet plunger and pump it forcefully on said side of head. If done right, not only will you get the wax out, you'll look absolutely stupid while doing it!!laugh

Alcohol/Vinegar, and/or Peroxide/warm water irrigation of the ear is reccommended by Drs.

Theres no way for either to get into your stomach... There is no passage into your body through your ear...

see your doctor , talk to the nurse on the phone when you book the appointment , I have had this problem and the doctor had me treat my ear with a few drops of mineral oil or even baby oil , drip oil in ear a couple times a day for two or three days before the appointment the doctor can then GENLTY flush the ear DO NOT PUT PEROXIDE OR POKE IT IN FURTHER !!
PLEASE see your doctor flowerforyou
