Thought I should let all my friends know, decided to get out of this big house.
I could keep putting everything I make & all my time into living here. Or I can slow down a little & enjoy life, by selling it. I will miss it, what with the lake & all, but can't travel, it eats most of my money & son may stay in the navy longer than just another 5 years. I want some enjoyment time,so time to downsize. Just to let you all know. |

Just to let you all know. Good luck Sage, waterfront? should be easier to sell than city property. I am trying to sell my house now too, market is very depressed in the area. My son just said he is in the Navy for the long haul. He just made Chief Petty Officer last month at 27 years old. Anyway good luck with selling. |

Good luck with selling your house. I know how you feel. I downsized in size and quality when I moved to OKC 3 years ago. Now my house payment is low and nearly paid off. Now I need to get rid of some possessions .... it's hard to let go.

Hey Sage, Good luck selling your house. Know how you feel. I feel like every cent I have goes into this house and the horses. The horses are going to stay, maybe I should just move into the barn.

Good luck Sage, but I don't think you will be sorry.. I down sized this summer from a big house to a 2 bdrm apartmemt, Not sure if I am going to stay in this area( I had planned to move to Montana last summer) I did have to get rid of a lot of stuff, it is hard, letting go..still have my cat though...Neighbors are nice enough to watch him when I want to travel...

Thought you could sneak this post by me huh? No way. Sage, you know downsizing for me was the big step in helping me get on with my life. I am so happy that I did it. Allows me to leave the past in the past. We never forget, but life keeps on going. Best of luck to you in your new digs. A new you (thinner and healthier) in a new place (smaller and less work, more time for play).

Apt. complex has a great view of the city & a POOL for the summer.
Wonder if there will be any good lookin neighbors???

Thought of selling mine and moving into a place with less yard work. Problem is I'm so use to living in the country I'm not sure \I can handle neighbors as close as they are in town.

Good Luck Sage. Your idea is what I've "toyed" with for the last year. I don't NEED all this to try to take care of by myself. I haven't put it on the market because like most states, NC has 400,000 people out of work, the housing market, null and void unless you're a buyer. When I bought it, I wasn't planning on staying but now I'd be lucky if I could get what I paid for it 3 yrs ago. Sooooooooo, I'll wait and be envious.

Well, now I know what you mean by what is going on in your life. That is a real shocker. LIke you, I am thinking of selling this spring. Too much time and expense for one person. Good luck and hope the next year is a good one for all!
