So I had this other profile, and I felt like it didn't really reflect my personality. I'm afraid I came off a little harsh with this one, and I'm curious as to what the random stranger might think. After all, it's random strangers who will be viewing it! I haven't had many hits with it; do I put people off when I ask them to write something more than a one-liner? I never know how to reply to one-liners, and I never write them myself. At any rate, please be honest!

Harsh? Not in my mind -- a little direct, a little no-nonsense in some ways -- but I feel it's best to be clear about what you want and what you don't want.

I wish more people would devote the time and effort to their profiles that you've put into yours.

Change your primary PIC. The B&W doesn't show "you". Guys are visual beings:) Everything else looks great. You're lovely with a lot going for you. Post in the forums to get yourself out there. You will make great friends.

Take this profile and underline ONLY what does NOT say what is weired, unconvential, that you don't like, don't want, can't do, think a guy couldn't do, and is not about your pets. Now take away any picture that is not you. If you add photos that don't clearly show a happy engageing smile and the depressing black and white Lead shot. What are you offering then? Would you write that person? Good Luck You are obviously a pretty, smart, and intelligent young woman who can turn this around.

I almost never rate profiles here -- plenty of people e-mail and ask me to evaluate theirs privately, which I'm OK with -- but the OP and I had exchanged a couple of e-mails prior to her posting the request in this forum. Seeing as how there was a sort of "previous history," I figured I should take a look and offer some feedback.

And I have to say, I'm very impressed with her profile.

I really don't have any problems offering positive feedback if it's merited! (It's just that this happens so very, very rarely....!)

Looking through MM profiles, I see nothing but cliches, vapidity, and laziness. When I see a truly good profile, like the OP's here, it makes it stand out all the more. I think someone who does something exceptionally well is worthy of having that achievement noted.

great honest profile but you will not get lots of hits because its apparent what you are looking for and the players will avoid you....You will get the right response sooner or later and probably wont be hasseled alot ..Beautiful animals and very true about riding habits...Two back surgerys and high spirited horses are beyond my limitations as with about 8 out of 10 riders I know..more pictures of you will help but just take care of your animals and wait for mr right

You should swap out that color photo of you with the smile on your face. Make that your main photo. It’s a little more flattering and welcoming. Good luck.
