Hello and welcome to the 50 and over forums  And I think you are wrong in many ways. Post here and get to know us, allow us to get to know you, and you will find that we are talking quite a lot. And don't go out to find love, if you are patient it will find you when you least expect it to.

Maybe it's just to get out and work but we do have other things we need to be doing. We don't spend all our time here therefore at times the forum remains silent. |

I believe in fate to a certain extent. You can get all gussied up and go out amongst 'em and end up not talking to a soul. But, run to your nearest convenience store in your slippers, hair all goofy, zoo breath and the answer to all your prayers could buy you a doughnut! I think when we try to hard we give off an aura that beams too bright?

You are right. The harder we try, the more likely we are to fail. The sense I get is that the human subconscious can sense stress and a relaxed state in another person. Put a few beers in them and the conscious mind can do the same thing. A relaxed state is attractive, an aggressive state is .... well .... aggressive! I think this is why chance meetings are more successful than planned attacks.
Of course if I actually knew anything about the subject I might not be single.
