I agree...I've started thought-provoking threads & maybe got 10 responses... I intentionally start a silly thread ("Velcro Shoes") & it lasted 3 days!

But, most of us use the net for entertainment purposes & to possibly ellicit or recieve a good laugh...the "Fork or Dork" threads will always reign supreme...so, let's hear it for the Tard Threads...whatcha' gonna do?

Hiya, D! waving Good to see ya.

I'm not talking about discussing quantum physics. I'm talking about something with a LITTLE bit more substance than, "What color does your milk turn when you eat cereal?"

That's all.

rofl I will have to admit I do look at and yes post in some of those "drivel" threads like the "would you, could you, have you " threads that seem to go on forever... and those are funny why? because a few times after I posted there might be one or two others that follow then all of a sudden they stop..... no more posts till sometime later... as for the intelligent threads.. hey it stimulates the mind makes you think.. personally I like those better I am sure there are people who "need " the threads as a source of entertainment..and I do not begudge them .. it comes down to "freedom of choice".. leader or follower? hmmmm so many decisions it hurts my headrofl

is it just me,or do there seem to be more 'simple minded' threads than cerebral threads... especialy over the last couple days? be seeing you

If you would prefer to engage in slighty more inteligent and cohesive conversations with people or debate, then check out "Science and Philosophy". There is also a Religion Forum that has some really interesting topics at times but get ready to rumble there. General Religion is aka "The War Room."

Hey why not just go with the flow eh? Be like multi-versatile. You can talk on any level and still contribute.

I noticed that too. If someone posts a serious topic, nine times out of ten, it gets ignored and overlooked. Meanwhile, the asinine, mundane threads are generating hundreds of posts.

ohwell

 i guess it's just the nature of our "dumbed-down" society...everything is the lowest common denominator...music,movies books and now even our politics...i just wonder if it's because people DON'T want to use their brains or they don't have the brains to use? be seeing you

Just be careful of the ones here who just have to make it their duty to take the "moral high-ground" by their telling you that you say "stupid" things on the forums and stuff.

I used Georgie Bush's word "misunderestimated" once and got a rack of crap that I was trying to act intellectual, but my stupidity shows through. You take it with a grain of salt, why so serious, you won't meet half these people anyway.
