What is the best religious or spiritual (movie)you have ever watched that made a big difference in your life?

It can also be a philosophical documentary on spirituality if you like for example "The Secret" or "Way of the Wizard" by Deepak Chopra.

For me I enjoy "The Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman.

Well, being Pagan I find "The Secret Garden" very spiritual and touching.

Its like there's a time to cry to laugh and everything...and that bare garden became overflowing with flowers and life with one girls kindness...

Its amazing what just one person's kindness can do for others. It can inspire hope and bring forth new life.

The Ten Commandments with Charleston Heston

the acting is so bad and the special effects suck so much that it actually makes it a pretty good crappy sci-fi movie

or maybe the movie seems good because it only comes on once a year on Easter Sunday and I drink beer while I'm watching it

The Passion's of The Chr-st.. it was extremely accurate. The dubbing to English and the Speaking in Hebrew gave it a distinct flavour. The Full Moon at Passover I noticed was correct. They went into true detail for this movie....Blessings...Miles

Odd, since it was clearly stated that it was based on the vision of a female mystic centuries after the fact (not the Gospels [which is odd because Jesus Christ Superstar was based soley on the Gospels and it created apparent controversy when it came out]); the mystic, BTW, was banned by the Catholic Church for overly nutty behavior and statements.

If you celebrate and Practice the passover then you could see it was accurate about what happens during this time.

The beatings that people condemned went through.

The whips would literally tear flesh from your body.

The Hebrew words were accruate for modern Hebrew language and names. kept with the Jewish tradition of using Hashem instead of Yahweh which just means the name.

Bar-abbas being freed. The elite where looking for a messiah that would come and destroy all armies.

Bar-Abbas means Son of the Father. He claimed also to be the promiced Messiah.

The Jews were claiming him as king when he was a murder. Thier was alot to that Movie but without practicing like anything else you miss a big portion of what was going on.

I did not know about the Mystic but she knew more than Rome has ever taught:smile: drinker Blessings...MIles

I liked "the Ninth Confirguration" aka "Twinkle Twinkle, Killer Kane"; also has one of the best fight scenes in it; you might have to watch it twice, to get the ending.

The Cross and the Switchblade is a book written in 1963 by pastor David Wilkerson with John and Elizabeth Sherrill. It tells the true story of Wilkerson's first five years in New York City, where he ministered to disillusioned youth, encouraging them to turn away from the drugs and gang violence they were involved with. The book became a best seller, with more than 15 million copies distributed in over 30 languages.

In 1970, a motion picture of The Cross and the Switchblade was released, starring Pat Boone as David Wilkerson and Erik Estrada as Nicky Cruz, the teen gang member whose life was transformed by Wilkerson's ministry. The movie was dismissed by secular critics as uninteresting. However, it has been viewed by an estimated 50 million people in over 30 languages in 150 countries, according to World Film Crusade.

In 1972, the book was adapted into a comic book published by Fawcett Comics under their Spire Christian Comics label.

In 1968, Cruz wrote the book Run Baby Run with Jamie Buckingham, telling the story of his life including coming to New York and being in the gang, and subsequently meeting Wilkerson and thereafter becoming an Evangelical Christian.

Not a fan of Bill Maher, but I saw a trailer and it looks interesting. I'll pick it up tomorrow.
