Nope it has no bearing on the things I buy just because they say a percent of it goes to a charity. It makes me wonder why in fact those places do not give to those charities anyway. I mean what they are saying to me is we will donate to them if you buy our product otherwise they want get a dime from us! Just the thought that goes through my mind.

Girl Scout cookies? That is different in my book you know that is going to the Girl Scout's. They raise money for themselves. And yes besides that I still buy for the product but it does make me want to buy cookies due to the fact of who the money helps out in the long run. My self I do not see them as a charity but instead as someone giving back to the community doing something for the youth instead. |

agreed...I give plenty to certain charities, both time and funding....two that get 100% of donations and USE 100% to the intended recipients : the Shriner's Burn & Crippled Childrens Hospitals (100% no cost to family for treatment, lodging, travel and food/other expenses during travel) and the Scottish Rite's Children's Speech programs.
