I joined this site and found someone almost immediatly (nice lady that is no longer on here)but I didnt post very often for the first 3 or 4 months I was a member.Mostly just emails

Good questions. It is free - seems like meeting people on the internet is the thing to do according to my friends. I have been here a year. I have gone on 4 first dates with 1 guy making it to a second.

I joined for friends and forums. Period. I had (nor do I have) no silly illusions of "finding someone". I never considered being so narrow-minded to have the impression of this site being some sort of a "dating store". |

Why did you join this site Originally, I was hoping to meet someone I could start a relationship with. how long have you been here A little over 2 years. and have you had any luck? In terms of finding a girlfriend, no. What I have learned is that there is no "girlfriend material" for me on dating sites. It's partly a demographics issue, partly a geographic issue, and wholly a compatibility issue. But there are lots of other great things about this site, and that's why I'm still here. |

I joined to meet someone a little over a month ago. I met the person I am seeing within about 3 weeks. I'm staying for the forums, and the mingle buddies that I have met.
 For me, it's the best site I've used.  There are the occasional curmudgeonly or vitriolic members that never have anything positive to say, but all in all, it's a fun site!
