"they" have good and bad, but so do "us"

ummmmm which ones is "they" and which ones is "us" so I know which side I'm spose to be on

apparently...."they" = right wingers...."us" = left wingers...acoording to the left side. i fall into "me"

"They" was supposed to be government and big business, "Us" was supposed to be... us.

How nauseatingly amusing that I posted something about breaking the left/right and it became about creatign partisan lines.

We have got to stop being manipulated into pushing ourselves into these cattle pens, before those in power start pushing us into cattle cars.
Kill the left/right crap, unite under the banner of the Constitution and be Americans for christs sake, before it's too late.

that is a nice thought but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I usually lean more to the "right" but can see strengths and faults also. politicians are politicians not matter what party. "we" the people are forgotten alot

Absolutely, more reason we the people need to be heard and in strength together.

I even have a few topics. How about we unite under making government stop spending money they don't have, our money, our childrens money. This is a action that both parties have been doing in absolutely gigantic amounts.

Can we not unite underneath closing some, if not all, of our unnecessary overseas bases which cost us a billion a year in upkeep and foster feeling of negativity abroad?

Can we not unite underneath the banner of restoring our civil liberties and returning to Constitutional rule of law?

war....you are right. IMO politicians are politicians. it's up to "we the people" to learn from past mistakes to not repeat them. blaming everyone helps no one because no one is fixing the problem that way. That goes for the President...past, present AND future....as well as congress

Assembly and crying out for change is the way. The American people did so in the past and should now.

You are absolutely right.

Look at where this endless debate of sides from internet or personal opinion anonymity gets the general populace....

No where...disreguarded...forgotten...

We have the constitutional right of assembly and Freedom of speech...

The politicians and media may or may not get word of what is said here....but, we are harder to ignore if gathered enmasse at thier office door steps.

One thing I know for sure....If you bow your head and don't say a word...nothing will change.

When will we get it in our minds to unite?

Unfortunately I dont see that anywhere in the near future. When our President is giving a national press conferrence and he refers to the republican party as "they". Doesnt seem like he is looking to unite us.

"They" are offended by "they"????!!! How about the "theys" who have referred to all who do not like how "they" tried to run this country into the ground are called "Unpatriotic", "Communists", "Socialists" and those are the nicer terms.slaphead

i mean coming to my house. political science isn't my major, but it is somewhat a passion of mine. they would end up fighting a losing battle.

funny you say that because when the other side said those things about obama supporters coming to the door....those people we told they were in the wrong. But unlike obama supporters....these people aren't going door to door. But i guess if they decide to....it's ok. what's good for the goose is good for the gander. but thank you for proving a point I had made a while back

well, that's one thing I disagreed with. no one needs to go door to door trying to sell politics, religion, beliefs, or anything really. Leave the door to door stuff up to UPS, girl scouts, and trick-or-treaters.

several said the same thing you did about people going door to door and apparently we are wrong for saying that. I did not see anything abou being outside protesting. all i saw was a meeting. but turn the tables around....obama supporters on the street corner....would you want the other side to do what you plan on???? yes we all have the right to a peaceful protest....but i imagine if the shoe was on the other foot....it wouldn't go over so well

well, I'm a VERY big supporter of protest. So, yes. In fact, if it was me I would challenge opposing parties to protest against me. This country was built on competition and compromise.

and there are people in the country that disagree with your views and will protest as well. this isn't an attempt to overthrow the government....it's to discuss the problems people are seeing and according to your opinion they are false accusations. not everyone blindly follow

sorry about that, i was a bit misleading. my tongue in cheek is often hard to interpret over the internet.

no harm done at all. but there are many that see things going on that we aren't comfortable with or just think it's down right wrong. it doesn't hurt to hear what is said. I don't think he is the anti-christ....but i don't think he's the savior of america either

I remember McCain calling Obama, "That one", during a debate. That was just wrong.
