Oh, and the Legislation is no theory, it's plain a$$ fact.
Why would Government spend so much prep time and money on Martial Law, if they didn't expect to use it on us? |

No wolf? So the Government that loves you so, during Katrina, didn't run a martial law drill, with Military and National Guard, along with Blackwater, marching down the street, participating in Gun confiscation, no matter whether or not you were in a area that was in danger? I don't go with the naming of sites, just because there's alot of speculation. However, care to tell me about places like Pier 57, the Fema ran facility that somehow was magically fitted with cages and barbed wire just for the Critical Mass protests in NYC? Bush is gone and Blackwater is almost extinct as well. Funny how those two went together. The Republicans are no longer in control of our fate. Give Obama a little more time and he will void all the Executive orders laid by Bush and the Repubs. |

The Hudson River Park Trust is in the midst of a selection process for a developer for Pier 57, at West 15th Street and Route 9A.
The Trust's objective is to attract a park enhancing cultural, educational or commercial activity, or a combination of the aforementioned. Since the initial Request for Expressions of Interest for Pier 57 issued in September 2003 attracted eight responses, the Trust has selected two proposals for public presentation: Chelsea Piers and Leonardo at Pier 57. Chelsea Piers--a group led by developer Roland Betts--proposes to build a major aquatics center, tennis and squash courts and community garden. A portion of the ground floor would be occupied by a 25-meter indoor pool, and by several smaller pools. Up to 50 galleries would be included in nearly 100,000 s/f of arts space. There would be classroom space for the public to learn various art forms as well as a New York Dance Center. The plan includes studio and office space for WNYC, an emergency management facility for FEMA, an electrical power generation facility, cafes, restaurants and extended marina. The Leonardo at Pier 57 is a joint venture of three organizations: the Witcoff Group, Cipriani, and Plaza Construction. Major uses include a museum, retail/cultural workshops and showrooms, a variety of cafes and restaurants, a marina, and nearly 70,000 square feet of Cipriani events space. In concept, all retail uses provide components that could provide entertainment/educational interest to the public even without purchasing. The Triennale di Milano is an existing museum in Milan that provides a showcase for emerging trends in fashion, design, applied arts and audio visual communications. It would open its first international location within one of the Pier 57 caissons. It would also provide over 11,000 square feet of studio space for local artists to rent at modest (approximately $250/month) rates. The proposal includes a private rooftop pool/ club on the westernmost end of the pier's roof. It also includes a marina operated by MarineMax. The Trust completed a public comment period on the proposals' and is currently in the process of evaluating them in greater detail. http://www.allbusiness.com/operations/facilities-commercial-real-estate/338872-1.html |

Katrina happens and they beetch because the gov wasnt ready. They do all they can to be prepared for something and we hear this mumbo jumbo! Ya just cant win! ![]() ![]() ![]() i hope yer right ![]() but if you check some of the dates you will see there were camps already available why didn't they use them then Maybe because they don't really exist? Maybe because the residents of N.O. wouldn't/couldn't afford to leave? The fact that they didn't is irrelevant, or goes to show you that we aren't as close to forced concentration by the Feds as the author would have "you" to believe. I really don't have the time to chase down every conspiracy theory out there. There are too many and I don't have that much time. I'll trust common sense will defeat this one. There is no wolf! maybe because it was not the kind of emergency they are designed for ??????????????????? all i am doing is putting some info provided from others if you go to fema on you tube there are many congressperson clips as well one where the reading of the bill nearly every other sentance seemed to be classified (why is that) when it pertains to these fema installations --- if they will not be forth-coming with congress what makes you think they would be forth-comong with the public there are a lot of stuff out there about them if you wanna look for it (could someone tell me again why it is that the govt wants control of the internet???????) i hope all those that say they do not exist are correct be well and may much good come to you and yours |

This rumor started when the protestors at the 2004 Republican Party Convention were Temporarily detained at Peir 57 for lack of anywhere large enough to detain them all.
Peir 57 was empty awaiting a tenet! It will now become a Recreation area! |

Neat, so the cages, that was just a spur of the moment decsision?
Just happened to have an empty warehouse, with barb wire topped cages, with enough room to hold a couple hundred people, refusing them their rights, in a building that might have passed as a health hazard at best? Coincidence theory. I could give a crap what they say or plan to use it for now, its what it was used for when American's rights were suspended. |

Another problem with it, is it's is vague and open ended, wide open for interpretation, not my interpretation or yours, but under PDD 51 it would be under Obama's. |

Wait and I'll see if I can find out what, but even detained protesters cant be allowed to run around free inside a 300,000 sq ft area. |

Detained protesters, well, first problem is that more than half of those "protesters" in fact weren't, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and got rounded up like cattle. Cages and barbed wire, inside of a building... what were they housing, Sasquatch? |

Peir 57 has been used for a number of things since it has been vacant.
I could think of many reasons for a caged area inside to include detainment of protesters which NY does not hide the fact of. I can also think of several opportunities and chances for the conspiracy theory we hear here. 1. The 300,000-sq.-ft pier at W. 15th St., a city bus garage until last year, was most recently used to detain people arrested in connection with protests during the Republican National Convention. 2. The plan also provides for parking in the caisson that supports the shore end of the pier. The caisson that supports the west end of the pier would be leased to the city or a federal agency like the Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA for use as an emergency management center, according to David Tewksbury, vice president of Chelsea Piers. |

Sometimes Fanta, you remind me of Officer Barbury from Southpark. There's poor little Kenny, dead and being dismembered by rats and up comes Barbury " Nothing to see here, move along you looky-loos." What's so funny is I remember you being pretty close to the exact opposite when it came to Bush. |
