I have a yorkie,8 months old and I love my dog. But he barks all the time
I feed him well, I keep him clean, he has a warm bed, I give him love and attention, and he still barks all night, and during the day
I feel bad for my neighbors, because I know is annoying to them

The Vinegar Water solution:

1. Mix water and vinegar together in a solution of 8 parts
water to one part vinegar. Put the mixture into a water gun

Little dogs=barking, but with proper training an patience you can get it under control. If you have a Petsmart in your area I would look into some basic obedience classes. Your pup is the perfect age for it.

I was a little hesitant on buying a chock collar.
but I see I have different choices, if they don't work

Please don't get the shock collar. I think they never should've been invented. They can actually hurt ur dog.

Had a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, both known for being barky dogs. Shes not so bad about barking and I think because the other dog doesn't bark so much. Our other dog hardly barked at all.

Use one with the electric fence and it works great, she stays away from it very well.
I would try other training before using the collar.

What he does for barkers is catch them right when they are getting ready to bark. He says SHH! and tugs the lease sideways, short quick response. After the dog is calm you immediately give treat or affection.

My mom uses this sort of technique, but she just uses plain water in a squirt bottle. One bark, they get a spray of water, stops them very quickly.

that's not quite true ..barking collars go in stages first bark is free then they increase from there.more of discomfort than anything else but it does increase to a certain limit. but the dog does learn i have seen lots of people use them with no ill effects .after the dog learns the collar then all you have to do is just put it back on and not turn it on the collar alone does the trick..

If you don't believe it , just try this experiment.

Put your dog and your wife in the trunk of the car for an hour.

When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you!

I hope you don't get the shock collar. I've seen them used, they are cruel. There are better ways to train your dog than inflicting pain.

Just a couple of thoughts...does he have plenty of toys? Perhaps distracting him with one would help redirect him. Toys will also give him something else to do besides bark. Talk him for walks if you don't already do so.

Is he home all day by himself? He may have separation anxiety. Your vet can give you some tips to help with that.

You don't want to him to stop barking completely...it's what they do and barking to alert you of danger is a good thing, so praise for 'good' barking and redirection for 'bad' barking might help.
