That's the size of Angel's riding lawnmower that won't start. I have given it new gas, new plugs, new battery, and new fuel filter and the friggin thing turns over but is getting no fire. Any suggestions. Let me guess......points.........lol hoping it's not that.

Check the gap on the spark plugs. Yes, it could also be points. Maybe it's a bad fuel line itself.
It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. A B&S small engine is pretty cut-and-dry. |

The gap should be fine, I smell the engine building up on unburned fuel, damn points then. Not sure I've ever replaced those in a B&S before.

did you check the plug wire , a bad wire can cause it not to fire
|
|

Magneto.. it sits next to the flywheel . Take the cover off see if its touching? clean not rusted.. should have a gap . If I remember correctly about 15 thousand. that's what I would be checking. one way to eliminate it is to remove the plug wire and use a screwdriver in the plug wire end and get it near but not touching the engine as you crank it over if you have spark. Then its fuel or plug.

Pull the plug connect the wire to it and ground it on the head. Crank the engine while looking at the plug to see if you are getting spark. Do not hold onto the plug or the wire while doing this or you will get one he!! of a shock.
Pull the air cleaner, spray some starting fluid in the carb and see if it fires. |

yeah the ari cleaner totally forgot about that., sometimes it gets extremely dirty chokes off the air supply try starting it with out the air cleaner . then try the spry in the carb
|

If all else fails use a BFH
|
