I am single because I refuse to settle this time. I'm not lonely, so I am willing to hold out till I find the right one. It's worth it to me to take time and know someone and for them to know me.

I am single because all the women I meet are just looking for a roll in the hay and I am tired of all that superficial stuff.

What are the "normal" methods now in this decade? I know so many people who met on line and are dating, and a bunch who are married too...not sure this is not part of the new normal now... but I bet this is supposed to be one of those "just for the fun of it threads" and I have posted serious again...   "Normal" for me was meeting people through friends. That's the only method that has ever worked for me. I don't drink, I don't go to bars, and I have no interest in anyone who does. On line dating is becoming more and more "normal" -- to the point that there is a highly mainstream, traditionalist bent to the clientele of many dating sites. For someone such as myself, to whom "mainstream" equals "toxic," this is not a very good fit. But with the ongoing surge of more "alternative" sites, there is always hope, I suppose. |
