I am gonna have to find a creative woman because the cooler of beer just wouldn't work for me. I don't drink...lol

That's the thing about gifts and the thought that goes into them... She'd get you something that you do like... My guy needed a new cooler and liked beer viola he got a new cooler packed with beer..

I'll agree with the ones here who said it's always best to get your man what he'll actually LIKE.

For his birthday, I got my ex boyfriend a Zune (I hate iPods), and filled it with all his favorite music. He'd always complain about having to listen to the same canned music all the time, because he didn't even have a computer. I took that and ran with it. He LOVED it.

It's about paying ATTENTION to what your man actually LIKES and WANTS, not about getting him things YOU would want.

Once I ordered a very expensive John Elway authentic replica jersey for the last moron I was with...only to find out he moved out of his house and into a stripper's apartment but he wanted to keep me around so I would send him the "BIG" gift I told him was coming...........

It makes them feel a little fem, and Ive come to realise, not only do they really not care, but they KNOW that WE will think they are fem if they throw a happy fit for them. Ive learned not to put a man in this situation.. they also dont care about teddy bears.. at all..

Beer of the month club got me amazing sex, im not condoning drinking, I dont even drink anymore, but thats what he liked.

I used to go overboard when I got my exes something. Cologne, a huge model car or a red wagon (wagon was a prop to the extra goodies I bought). Of course I was still in high school or at the beginning of college when I did this. Now, I'm more cautious about what I spend for a guy I'm seeing. I start off small. If we are still together, then I would graduate to something better that will suit him.

Of course. Among other gifts. I think flowers would not be right for every guy or every situation but if it suggests a very personal thing it can be a very good choice.

Example; on one of our trips my late husband doubled back, wadded into a stinking bog because I pointed out the cat tails to the kids. There after every fall we had a floral centerpiece that featured cat tails and he knew it was a compliment to his effort.

Ummmmmmmm no. I just dont think men get all giddy like we do about a bouquet of flowers!!

I dunno... I just hate monopolies, I guess. I mean, you walk into any everyday store (not a specialized electronics store), and you have TONS of iPod crap to pick from, but nothing or next to nothing for any other kind of mp3 player. Just... irks me.
