Giving someone a compliment in an email does not mean they want to get in your pants, It is simply just a compliment which is a sweet thing to get. I would appreciate any compliments you get, because there are simply not enough going around.

I frequently, compliment women I see.........

in the grocery store "You look nice, I like those boots" or In the airport; Most people do not dress up for travel any more. Thanks for making the effort, you look "great".....etc. etc. sincere and no underlying motive.......well, other than seeing them smile.... |

I really don't classify a random unknown person emailing me calling sexy or hot as a compliment. I don't have an easy time excepting compliments from people but I try to do so gracefully. I appreciate them and I give compliments when I feel they are deserved. But I'd rather a friend give me a compliment than someone who doesn't know anything about me because I agree with the OP, usually it's the pervs who do that. (Notice, I said usually!) How about if a stranger simply emailed you with "Hello how are you, you have really pretty eyes." Is that an acceptable compliment or is it too much comming from a stranger? Especially since on here you see alot of photos of people with big smiles and can really see their eyes! |

I'm usually pretty accurate with being able to tell if it's a sincere compliment or not. I won't say that i was never wrong but you can usually tell. The oes i thought had alterior motives usually did and the ones i thought were sincere are still my friends on here.

Hummmmmmmmmm well if that is not considered a compliment then I'm in real trouble. For actually I just e-mailed a guy yesterday or the day before due to he had posted in a thread said he will be turning 50 next month. Well all I can say he sure looked mighty fine for fixing to turn 50 and had the smile to boot. So yeah hummm I dropped him and e-mail and in fact told him that as well. I had no other intentions but to let him know hey your good looking and don't look 50 at all. Now was he insulted due to what I said must not have been he wrote me back and said thank you sweetheart that means a lot to me. All I can say is I'm sure it brought a smile to his face and that was my only intentions. Myself at times I get compliments and don't think I deserve them but I always say thank you and it does bring a smile to my face. It never crossed my mind that all they wanted was to get in my pants. Besides kind of hard to do if they live a state away or even 5 miles away unless I choose to let them.
Matter of fact just got one last night from a member due to a response that I posted. Was he out to get anything hummmm nooooooooo he does not even come across as that type of guy. So take them for what they are a compliment say thank you and move on.

All i'm saying is i had plenty of dirty ones who only wanted to be dirty. I found out by the next 2 or 3 emails they sent. No not everyone is as jaded about it as me but i had lots of good reasons
