When I look upon the current state of the Federal Government of the United States.

I wonder what our founding fathers would have thought of it.

This government has become so large that it can no longer sustain itself.

It is time to trim it a bit.

Congress has shown an unwillness to do that.

Replace them... Limit them as to the time they may serve.

Replace them all.

and put some real limits on what they can do in the future.

I don't know that I agree with limiting terms, there is much to know even when gov is small, by the time they get aquainted with the process it's time for them to leave. Besides the fact that I don't have all day long to pay attention to everything that goes on, so we need the time to become aquainted with those on the hill as well.

I do think we should limit by age, some of these folks can't even relate to the current world. There should be an easier way to get rid of a problem case one would think, but I am not sure about that.

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

"If the American people ever allow private banks
to control the issue of their money,
first by inflation and then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will
grow up around them (around the banks),
will deprive the people of their property
until their children will wake up homeless
on the continent their fathers conquered."

Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? Let history answer this question.

That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.

How are these statements untrue? This i would like to know. Time is irrelevant. They made those statements 200 years ago based on over a thousand years of history. I ask, what in the last hundred years has changed so drastically that we NEED to depend on a select few to rule us?

Frankly if it were up to me, and i had to choose between an existence dictated by a few elites, and even death itself, i would not hesitate to choose the latter.

Perhaps slaves are what the human race has evolved into...?
