Well, there's so much paperwork involved....

Is anybody using New Zealand for anything? I haven't heard anything about that place in ages....

There should be a disclaimer somewhere: "Don't ever say, indicate, hint, or think anything along the lines of 'I don't want kids' or you will be pilloried and subsequently executed in the most disgusting and painful manner available at the moment."

Yeah, I remember that thread.

While I thought it was jerky that men would go out of their way to email her, and tell her undesireable she was because she was taking care of her grandkids, I didnt have a problem with the "I dont want kids" preference.

I should rephrase that

I don't wanna make kids

I dig papersmile's kids

(there is only one Canadian tank that scares me hahaha)

The thing that puzzles me is the leap of logic they use -- if you say you don't want kids, and the person reading HAS kids, so many of them automatically assume you're saying that people with kids are bad or something.

And that's not the case at all -- like you said, it's a preference.

Most of my friends on this site are women with kids. How did that happen? Because they understand there's a difference between a preference and a condemnation!

Yeah, id be a little mad if I got into some time being with someone, and THEN they had a problem with my son, but if they say upfront after meeting me (which has never happened) that they dont want any in their life, then id be like.. relieved, because.. I dont want any people in my life that couldnt handle kids. LOL. I mean its not good for my son, or our family life to have someone around that felt wierd, or uncomfortable, or didnt know what to do.

OP: some do, and some don't. It's a lifestyle choice. I would agree, it would seem that things are changing, but it all depends upon where you are hanging out. If you are hanging out with a more socially liberal crowd - you will tend to think that noone wants what you describe... If you go hang out with a more socially conservative crowd, you will find the opposite (people that want marriage, kids, and a picket fence)...

A personal example... I am very, very attracted to "goth or emo" women (who are more socially liberal)... the pale skin, makeup - the whole attitude and lifestyle... BUT - I am a more socially conservative guy, and I want more conservative things... therefore I must resolve not to pursue that type of woman for a relationship... they just don't like guys like me... as we would not be socially compatible...(hope that makes sense)...

Don't be discouraged... seek out the crowd that you are comfortable with... you may have more luck in finding what you seek...

Luck to you man!

ha, I didnt know it was a pot for cooking!

Heres wiki.

Dutchie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Dutchie may refer to:

Cookware and bakeware, where the name is used.
Dutch Masters (cigar), known colloquially as a 'Dutchie'.
Pass the Dutchie was a hit song by British group Musical Youth.
A modern way of smoking cannabis in a hollowed out cigar.
An endearing or belittling term for Dutch people.

Heres the urban dictionary:

dutchie 290 up, 128 down
A joint made from a Dutch Master Cigar.
Pass the Dutchie on the Left Hand side and fix that canoe.
get this def on a mug
by Dr Know It All Dec 4, 2003 share this
2. dutchie 181 up, 64 down
a BLUNT rolled with the wrapper of a dutchmaster cigar.
hey, man, you gonna smoke that whole dutchie or you gonna pass it my way?
get this def on a mug
by Pyair Sep 15, 2005 share this
3. dutchie 144 up, 114 down
A cast iron cooking pot of the kind hung over open fire.
The now (in?)famous Musical Youth lyrics were changed from 'Pass the Kutchie(joint)' to 'Pass the Dutchie' to make them acceptable to prudish American radio stations.

Love and long lasting marriages is a personal preference, it doesn't mean anyone is shallow. I have a 5 year old son and I've learned that by trying to make a family man out of a guy is a very hard thing to do. So my son and I are a family and if the day ever comes that there is a man willing to step up to the plate and be a family with us then that will be great. Until then, love and marriage don't appeal to me. I'd rather be in the mountains then be married. Although, freedom appeals to me more than being tied down.

You are absolutely right! Everyone has turned "materialistic" and one thing is never enough. They always have to have more.

Sometimes I wonder what it might be like if we were the ones living in poverty or we actually lived when we had to farm and actually had to accept what was given to us and NOTHING MORE.
