Holy Chow Mein, Batman! Is Hillary gonna' ask for another loan from China?? Where's MSM coverage on this? Can't say no to the hand that feeds us. Hopefully, Commie is still a polically acceptable term. Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC. Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of the United States, told reporters that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country. "Many Americans admire China due to the success of last year’s Beijing Olympics," said Chen. More than 1,000 people will attend the ceremony and the performances held after it, according to Zhao Luqun, who will direct the performances. A ceremony, indeed, will take place. But it won't happen on the White House grounds -- rather, on the Ellipse, on the other side of E Street from the presidential residence. China Daily's report -- which said the flag would represent strong U.S.-Chinese relations and recognition of China's success in hosting the 2008 Summer Olympics -- set off howls of protest on the Internet and among conservative talk show hosts despite failing to receive confirmation from the White House. Demonstrations by foreign groups on the Ellipse or in Lafayette Park, in front of the White House, are not uncommon. But foreign flags are only flown on the White House grounds or on Pennsylvania Avenue to mark "state" or "official" visits of the countries' leaders. Under those guidelines, the Chinese flag has flown on White House grounds before, in April of 2006, when President Hu Jintao visited then President George W. Bush. In fact the current controversy is reminiscent of that visit. The Chinese insisted it was a state visit, despite U.S. assurances it was only an official one. I think it was Bush and Comp. (read: past 8 yrs) who started to borrow money from China. Of course,now they are the main driving force behind the US economy. Don't be surprised if there will be more chinese influence coming. USA made itself China's b.tch.. thanks to the massive borrowing and the blame goes for the previous government.

Believe me if it were even slightly true, fox would be the first to make an issue of it. I am a liberal and I dislike Fox because of thier blatant bias, but they got this one right. Not controversial enough for them to twist I guess. How ever this doesn't seem to stop you from making an issue of something that isn't happening.

The sad thing is, is that if the government were to collect on all the IOUs that we had instead of wiping em' clean like we did, the US would bankrupt about 25% of the countries we now owe money to.
