Does anybody else ever get tired of working over time at ur job? but u know that u can use the money so u dont say no when asked to work over or just plain have no choice and have to work over. in the last 3 weeks i have worked like 30 or better hrs of overtime. and i am so tired of working all the time. if i dont stop soon im gonna die. the crapest part about all of it, i cant say no to it. it usually happens while im at work and just have to work over. its not like they call me and ask me or anything. i just have to, and it sucks. i just felt like sayin that. hope somebody replies to it or something.

i too was laid off for 7 months and just got back 3 weeks ago. but i cant work overtime dew to a bad union contract they forced on us no one will work it and soon we will have mandatory overtime or get locked out. are union is trying to get all the guys back from the big lay off so they can have a good Christmas.yea and it is crazy we might strike.frustrated we have filed 3 unfair labor practices with are lawyers. me i don't like to ever work overtime unless my child is with her mom. i love to stay home and be a full time dad.

As Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."

Otherwise...overtime sucks.

I rarely work less then 12 hours a day during the winter and it's usually closer to 16 hours a day and I work on a 3 week rotation, 21 days on 21 days off - on the bright side I take most of the spring and summer off :)

In case anyone was wondering - my main job is driving truck in the Oil Fields, firefighting is more a hobby and I don't count that as a job.

40 hours, plus a family alone is tiring for anyone!!

I work 40 hours a week for one job, plus 12.5hrs of driving per week.

I work 8hrs on Saturday's for another job. By Sunday's.. I'm exhausted!! Only to get the house cleaning done, laundry..blah blah blah on my day off! tears

I work 50 plus hours a week, 7 days a week and still raise a special needs child on my own. I work both at home and in the office in NJ. I love what I do, so to me its worth all the hours that I put in.
