happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

WTF has happened to kids?
It seems that in one generation things have become increasingly violent.
This is happening everywhere. It didn't happen when I was a teenager, or
at least to the extent that it is now. I hear about it all the time.
More than a bit disturbing.
As far as the police go, they won't step in unless there's a chance for
good PR for themselves. Why would they want to risk getting their hands
dirty and having to do paperwork if they can avoid it. I personally have
little faith in the police doing their jobs as they're supposed to due
to my own experience.
I'd suggest contacting the media. The police seem to like propping up
their public image so force their hand by using the media to your
advantage.

I wish some people would take the time to actually read the entire
thread! If they did they would realise this happened in CANADA!!!! The
US constitution has no bearing. We don't have the right to bear arms and
I for one am happy that the entire population isn't packing heat!!

You girls could also benefit from a small self-defense class. They have
them in the US but I don't know about here. Just knowing a few moves
could have switched the situation around. Hre's an example: If sonmeone
attacks you the nose is very easy to hit. An upward strike with your
palm to the nose can knock him off of you and leave him/her gabbing at
the broken nose. It is only made of cartlidge and can be broken fairly
easy if you know what to do. The strikes to other vulnerable areas like
using the knee to the groin can put a man on his knees. Good Luck and I
hope you nail these idiots.

Yes I agree self-defense would be good..BUT they was 4 of them and three
of them jumped me from behind...In this case it my not have done much
good anyway!!!!!!!!!

So true, Kidatheart. I can remember my dad's athiestic view on religion.
Kill em all and let God sort them out. We had many discussion where he
talked and I listened. I later came to understand that there was more to
communication than that but like Rudyard Kipling said in the Jungle

Im sure you werent the first victim of the police inaction and might
help others (even yourselves) in a future civil action.

No I have seen my fair share of police inaction and had very little
faith in them already...SOOOOOOO it was no great surprise and thank you
