Topic: What is it with these people?

So now some researcher is claiming to have found script on the Shroud of Turin, claiming that it is not a Medieval forgery. She states that she has found words in Greek, Latin and Aramaic. She states that she can read, in Greek, "Jesus a Nazarene" and that no Medieval forger would write that without reference to his divinity, which is odd as everyone knows that Nazarenes were a sect of the Jewish faith- where all Nazarenes divine? What gives, if you believe in something by faith, why all the BS trying to prove it to others, that is not faith and only makes you look like you have another agenda because your faith is not strong enough. Look at that Ossuary, they claimed had James the brother of Jesus carved on it- did the guy who found really think that they could not tell that people would figure out that he carved "the brother of Jesus" onto it? What goes through these peoples minds? I am often reminded of Walter Scott's Ivanhoe- "For every pagan you can show me, who is not a Xian, I can show you a Xian who is not a Xian". There are so many good things in faith and yet people spend most of their time dealing with BS, instead of living it.

Okay now have some coffee and talk amongst yourselves.

Don't get me wrong faith is a great thing when it's justly placed, but aren't we all just a bit too old for fairy tales?

Well, look at what the religion claims:

1. God is a jealous God, "Thou shalt have no other Gods before me!"

2. Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess this.

It's an obsessive religion that demands that only Yahweh and his sacrificed son Jesus are God. All other religions must be wiped off the face of the Earth as being the work of Satan!

It's a religion that has forced itself into this box. It has no choice but to defend this position. There's no way out of the box other than to denounce the religion altogether.

That's the way the religion was designed by the men who created it. They make it so that it cannot be escaped without utterly renouncing the God it represents which they have demanded is the single most unforgivable sin.

Renounce this God and you shall surely pay with eternal damnation you heathen!

That's the brainwashing trick of it all.

It's truly a cancerous religion. As are all of the Abrahamic religions that are based on the same underlying jealous Godhead.

Deny this religion and you're condemned to eternal damnation with no chance of parole ever!

It's the most dispicable brainwashing scheme ever created by men.

The men who created this religion are the greatest criminals who ever lived. Look at what they've done to humannity! It's truly sad.

Yes, it's a fake. It's been known to be a fake for years. It's from the middle ages. It's been documented and dated over and over.
Just let it go, already...

Now Now Abra lets get our facts right. When have I ever said, if u do not believe you are damned?

Did not think so. Quite the oppisite i have shown many places where hell is a misnomer created for fear to keep the people in check.

As the quote u made from the topic about all the BS. I am in total agreement.. You can say what you want or preach or teach. But you can not save anyone. thats putting yourself above the father a trick of Satan to follow his lead.

The scriptures say you will know them by thier love for one another.. This includes total forgiveness, compassion and not afraid to speak out when people are being delt with wrongly no matter how unpopular it is.

The scriptures also say the word is not to be sold.

So when we see anything being sold as if they got a revelation from the father you can bet it is a lie. The Holy Spirit did not inspire that and I am speaking of all these books that are sold millions of them they are not of Yahweh. Plain and simple. Anyone who is condeming another person escecially not of thier own belief system is wrong. period.

Judgement is inside your own house to bring them to see what they are doing is wrong.

Many false prophets many false religions many false teachers and many false Messiah's.

Just as the good Book says. If it were possible the whole world would be decieved. But for the elects sake they are not.

If we will believe that the whole world is going to be decieved then we must look at what we believe with a fine tooth comb and not follow someone because they told us to.

We are to study to shew ourselves approved to have an answer for EVERYONE who may ask us what is the HOPE of your FAITH.

Not just believe and say a simple prayer and u r saved. What a deception what a lie.

We must study for ourselves and then we have the promice of the Holy Spirit will shew us all things with discernment and as the Topic says what the heck is going on. It's prophecy.. He is here or he is over thier he is everywhere which way do we turn.

Turn to the Father Yahweh of Hosts and no one will have problems descerning what is and what is not.. Blessings of Descernment and May Yahweh Give to The Pure at Heart...Shalom...Miles

I like the other Shroud thread better

more historical basis and scientific examination

this one seems to be a lot of mumbo jumbo pontificating

Is the Shroud of Turin considered a fake? I thought it was considered real, but it's been a long time since I heard about it.

Yes, it's a fake. It's been known to be a fake for years. It's from the middle ages. It's been documented and dated over and over.
Just let it go, already...

I wasn't holding onto it. whoa

I thought it had been labeled legit, but not from that time period. The embalming and stuff used were correct, but it's not as old as the time period that's claimed... ?

they did carbon dating on a shred and determined that it was mid 14th century

later it was discovered that the shred they dated was a repaired piece that had a obvious difference in weave pattern under a microscope

so they requested permission from the vatican to carbon date a different piece. that was a couple years ago I don't know how that turned out

but the archeo-botanists have determined that pollens embedded in the fabric are consistent with pollen from Jerusalem 2000 years ago

I thought that test was inconclusive because those pollens can also be found today.
