mean things to someone you really care about when you get mad and are hurting? You get angry and say something that you don't mean. Do you say it because you are hurting and want them to hurt too? Do you think there is any way to take it back after it's been said?

I try not to do that, but sometimes I lose my temper. I always apologize though. If someone is sincerely sorry, and you really care about them, you should forgive them. No one is perfect, and we all need forgiveness at one time or another.

Unfortunately, most words have a lasting impact-even if we tell ourselves that they don't. As to why someone does it- who knows? It could be immaturity, temper, anger, loss and sadness.

you will never say words that you will be more sorry for than when you're mad..it just seems to be the nature of the beast.. some people have this under control but most do no..

if a person hurts you, you respond in kind..not wanting them thinking they are without fault.and addinga little extra too..but it just seems to escalate from there ..

It's one of those as soon as it comes out you regret it and never in your life did you think you would say things like that to this person. I know no matter how many times you say your sorry..it's never forgotten. I think that when you really care about someone and they hurt you, you want to make them hurt too, so you're not the only one hurting. At least, that's how I was feeling.

I was told a long time ago... 'there is a fine line between love and hate... as much as you can love them, you can hate them.'

When emotions are involved things get messy... and we become more reactionary.

Take a deep breath step back. Think about things logically (even after the fact). Come back together. Explain your feelings and perspection of the situation to each other. Listen.

Communication is key.

Wow! I'm sooo guilty of this behavior. Might be cuz' I'm bi-polar...or maybe I'm just an A$$hole. Either way I always regret it. I'm not alone and depressed for no reason. I'm my worst enemy I guess.

my mom taught me that it is unacceptable to say mean things to people and hurt their feelings

if you must say something like that you have to be sure to say it behind their back

Yea...but they eventually hear that too. Keep it inside and it eats ya' up. Let it out and it all falls apart. Can't win really. It's all personal politics.

there are many ways to show a person you are angry besides being hurtful and abusive.. it's your job to figure out how so it does not consume how..and when you engage your brain before you engage your mouth then you are on the right track.bigsmile

I've gotten better at holding my tongue. Now if you really piss me off, I just back away from you, less drama than insulting them, and even the stupidest person figures it out eventually.
