....whether to go out tonight. I have a group of folks, including my brother that reserved a table at our old hang out. I'm pretty depressed and will be the only single person there. I'm not sure I'll enjoy myself and am worried about being a sour puss and bringing everyone down. I might be better off just staying home alone. Thoughts?

Since being single doesn't bother me and I would be going out to celebrate the New Year, not bask in or lament over whether or not I have a bf, I don't know what to tell you. Happy New Year anyway.

always happens to me as well either im the third wheel or the 5th wheel lol! the thing is when u are close to them it should not matter.. its just getting the motivation to even go... once u are there u will be fine they just love ya and want you to be a part of their life is all.. single or not single and they want u to know that they love you for being you..not for who you are with or are not with.. i say go have fun and remember u are loved!

awww im glad u are going!! make sure to not stand next any single men at the ring of midnight! ive only gone out 2 times on new yrs eve.. once was really boring.. the other was a big group of friends that was fun! however being surrounded by my friends was best cause only people that knew me kissed me on the cheek lol!

Well, if it makes you feel better, I just had a party cancelled on me, due to the unpredictable weather here in NE. They say it might/might not snow tonight and dawn, so the people decided not to come and told me also, that I shouldn't go, especially that I would have to drive almost 1 1/2 hours, and there is snow on the ground which was melting and will freeze up for the night, and then the extra snow forecast makes it even worse.

But if you can go out and the weather isn't stopping you, I say go!

Atlantis, I'm sorry your party got cancelled but I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry. Yeah, I'm gonna go - Houston here - weather isn't an issue
