Last night while I was sleeping, someone broke into my apartment. My purse, car, and my son's wii were stolen. I slept through it and didn't realize until the morning. My son was staying the night over at a friends.

Please pray that my car is recovered and only has minor damages.

And please pray that my nerves calm down because I am very jumpy and a little anxious. I am sure this will only increase when I go to bed.

Yes locks changed. police report made. notified credit reporting bureau's. cancelled debit card. I did everything I was suppose to do.

So just have to wait to see if the police recover my car... and hope that I don't have too much of a hassle recovering all of my son's and mine documentation. I had everything in my purse.

Wow-thats horrible.I know u lost possessions,but thank goodness u were not hurt.I hope they are apprehended and u can recover your property. I am a single Mom and my daughter is almost 18 so she is gone with friends frequently-thats why I have a big dog! Her bark sounds fierce even if she is not,sometimes that is more than enough to scare people.Best of wishes to u.

I'm a single mom too. Not allowed to have dogs in the apartment... and my cat was probably hiding under the couch.

It is hard to find apartments that will let u have dogs.Since that is not an option for u,take whatever precautions u need to to feel safe.I once lived somewhere that was broken into and I know how violated I felt that someone was in my personal living space going thru my things.I was not home when it happened, as u were, so I can only imagine how much worse that feels.I actually put furniture in front of the doors as well as a louisville slugger by my bed!I felt silly but it made me feel better!

Had that happen once with a teenage boy who thought me & my ex were both gone. My ex happened to be asleep & caught him red handed. He got a years probation over it. Just be thankful they took the other things & left you safe sleeping!! Be safe!!

Hey girl sorry to hear what happened but..........very thankful it was only a in and out thing and they did not harm you. The car can be replaced down the road but a life can not...
