and before you ask yourself why would someone post something like this let me just explain, i am a genius so if i question something it is because i do not understand it (ixnay eh?)
anyways, what is wrong with sarcasm? i've met girls that don't like me because, and i quote, "I don't like people that laugh at other peoples misfortunes." please allow me to explain. I L O freakin L'd at this one girl because she was bragging at how her daddy bought her a brand new hummer when not 20 seconds later she put it in reverse and drove it halfway through a brick wall... priceless. so i make the comment, right on queue i might add, "i hope daddy got you insurance too."
... ... ... what is wrong with that?!?

Sarcasm helps me a lot at work when I use it sparingly. I don't want the old folks to think I have gave into the indifference that can be easy to do when one is around much suffering. One resident at work likes my humor and sarcasm because she has a good sense of humor and can get sarcastic herself.

people respond strongly and negatively to a lack of empathy towards others misfortunes. why? because everyone has them - it is a forgone conclusion and people want to be treated kindly. they generally admire those who are kind and stay away from people who seem to lack empathy.

so it is not sarcasm which they are reacting to. it is unkindness.

women are often very aware of behavior in various situations and
they generally respond to unkindness with revulsion.

Hummmmm a little sarcasm at the right time can be funny. But being a smartazz at the time something happens is the wrong time to pop off.

If one throws in a comment a few days after something happens one normally can laugh at the situation then. But to pop off at the time something just happen is the wrong time for then to me they are only being a smartazz.

Which has nothing to do with being a genius for if it did they would have known to show a little kindness toward another when they were down common sense would have told them that...slaphead whoa

CONTEXT,,,in some situations its fine but in others what one defines as SARCASM another defines as simple INSULT...... just be familiar with the company you keep and what is acceptable to them

I never tried that dish,,but IT SOUNDS 'REALLY BITTER'!

SO MAYBE if it was a little sweeter to the taste, it might go down better,,,wink.

Dry humor is an aquired TASTE!

Some can you a little sarcasm to make a small shock to hear or read,
But to carry THAT often toward others makes them see you as a smart assss, and IF, thats your wishes,,then HEY,,so be it.

It shall bite ya in your asss, when your lady asks, if her jeans look to tight?,,,,,surprised

Tight,,,hell, I think ya ripped um out!

 Try the sofa for a few nights.alone...rofl rofl rofl drinker

Sarcasm can be hilarious as long as it is not mean spirited. If someone doesn't get ur sense of humor don't waste time on them.

I speak fluent sarcasm!

As long as the “delivery” is not malicious then I am fine with sarcasm.

Some people are overly sensitive and simply do not have a sense of humor. It’s possible their cognitive process is limited; they can’t think outside of the box.

I know it’s necessary to curtail my sarcasm is my “audience” doesn’t tune-in into my word-play. I use a lot of puns and homophones. I hate explaining myself!

One of the silliest references I use is to ESP. If another person and I are on the same page, I might say, “Oh! We have ESPN!” tongue2

If their reply is, “Don’t you mean ‘ESP’?” – I realize my sense of humor will fall short. slaphead
