Is it just me ?
When I was younger, people my own age, looked my age to me.
Now at 57, people my own age, look older than me, IMO.
I suppose I look their age to them, but my brain hasn't adjusted yet I suppose. I feel like im in the black hole of life...
At first, I thought I was going crazy, but then I started noticing other stuff, like music interests. Im still into AC/DC, Johnny Winter, Led Zepplin, ZZ Top, The Doors, etc... Am I some weird old guy who never grew up, or just set in my ways ? I hope im just firmly set in my ways. I don't wanna be some old weird dude bigsmile

First off I think a lot more women in their 50's look to be in their 40's .. not men. Most men in late 50's look like my dad would. And I think a higher percentage that do not care for themselves anymore. ohwell

Nothing wrong with being friends with or dating younger than you are if you fit in better with that generation. I think I have 1 or 2 close friends in their 50's, the rest in their 30's & 40's. Never date this age either. Usually in their 30's.

Just sayin.

and it's dilemma not delema  flowerforyou

Hummmm have thought the same thing and well starting to see Judy's point here on dating younger. Seems to me that most of the men that are 40 look my age and the ones my age look in their 60's a some of times.

Now before anyone gets defensive I did say most and sometimes....

I've always dated those my age or older but honestly the ones younger are looking much better to me shshsh...bigsmile

I enjoyed reading your thoughts. flowerforyou

I am 44 but I don’t feel 44. Most of my friends are in their early to mid 30s. I exclusively date guys 12-15 years younger. I hate saying it but most guys my age look to be 50 or older. At some point, some men stop taking care of themselves. I know men probably think the same about women but I don't date women so I can't comment! laugh

I don’t have children nor do I want children; therefore, guys my age are generally not on the same page as me because the majority has kids.

In reference to music, I had to giggle because I think of the bands you listed as “old people” music! My choices are Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Hollywood Undead, Five Finger Death Punch, etc.

I gravitate towards people with whom I have more in common – and if the age-set is quite a bit lower than so be it! I don’t look at “age” when I choose my friends and lovers. I look at happiness and commonalities.

It’s a good thing to think of yourself as being young. I love acting like a kid but still having the resources to be responsible. The glory of being older is having the common sense to party your azzzz off and still pay the bills. drinks

I’ll admit to being set in my ways on a few situations but having an open mind is part of why a person still feels young. I’m sure you have that essence as well. winking

Don’t dwell of this situation – just have fun! Connect with people YOU wish to connect with and enjoy the ride!

the page that covers up the text over there.

You need to widen the horizontal adjustment on your computer screen.

I'm a weird one, I have plenty of friends my age, not many younger and quite a few older. My roommate and one of my closest friends (Indnprncs) are both in their mid 40's.... I've always gravitated towards older people since I was a teenager. I love my friends my age but sometimes they drive me up the wall with their so called problems (I call it just not having your shlt together) slaphead

Oh and OP I love all those bands!

As far as dating goes, I really haven't been to successful with guys my age or even a little bit older due to the immaturity (and not having their shlt together lol), but I'm also not attracted to guys 15-20 years older than me. Guess I just need to find another old soul

This is the only website that does this.
I wish they would lose that damm black border.
I upgraded to google chrome for you tube, and
this is the result of that I guess. Dennis

Did you adjust your horizontal view?

Maybe it's your browser? Do you have IE or Firefox?

I have IE and see the screen just fine.

Isn't it great that we all are WHO we are, like WHAT we like and best yet .. have the ability to make these choices in life.

I think the key is to find your niche, know your comfort zone, be happy with your life where you have chosen to live it flowerforyou

If all fails hold down
the Ctrl and hit the A key it will
highlight the whole page and you will
be able to read all the words...

Or if you hold down the Ctrl & Alt
key and roll your mouse roller it
will adjust the page for you once
all the text is with the white area
then let it go.... click on the
page and it should stay that way for
you...

I changed my screen resolution from 600 x 800 to 1024 x 768, and made the font size extra large, but the text is way too tiny to read now.
I'll have to give up on this site until they make it compatible with google chrome I suppose. I also notice that I have to scroll back and forth to see the whole page, and that hasn't changed. There must be something set goofy in my puter. Oh well... frustrated

I grew up with being told I was lying about my age. I have been in dating hell all of my life. it isn't just you. I am 44 and sick of the crap women my age pull. I like my women in their 20s preferably but I have dated above and below my age. I have learned my mindset fits with younger women more. Boy do their parents love that! I am a dirty old man until they see me then they are SO over the top jealous I look so much younger than I am!

Besides I still have yet to even have kids.

I don't give a sheat any more what others think about me or my tastes. If I was rich their parents would be telling them to "set the hook and land me."

F all the hypocrisy! It isn't like i am trying to date 14 year old girls! i guess that is wrong but morals are so confusing these days I have no idea what is right or wrong any more!

It is all just a huge effed up game!

Ha ! I havn't been on a date in many years. I spend a little time with women ocassionally, take em riding, or grab a burger somewhere, but I don't go out on dates. I don't even like the word. Dennis

There's that taking care of ourself thing again. WTF !
I take damm good care of myself. I just don't dress to impress. I am not attracted to women who dress all fancy either. YUK !
I like women with long straight hair, who wear nothing but jeans and stuff. I perfer the tomboy over the Barbie hands down, no contest.
If you want to impress me, show up in a Chevelle SS 396 wearing jeans and love beads, smokin a doobie when ya roll in
