I miss the days of drive inn movies and good customer service you know when you automatically get a glass of water when they seat you in a restaurant, you have to ask for it and also when you go to pay for your groceries they would automatically help take your groceries out to your car, now you have to ask for it, now you got to to everything yourself, hell I am used to that

I miss lying in his arms afterwards and thinking that I could never be more in love...and then proving myself wrong the next night.
I miss wrestling for the clicker because I want to watch the Sox game and he wants to watch something other than the Sox game for a change. I miss him letting me win the clicker wrestling match even though he could take me if he really wanted to. I miss him taking me when he really wanted to. I miss the sound of his voice saying "I love you", and the sight of his eyes saying "I love you" silently, and the feel of his touch saying "I love you" without a word. Most of all I miss having hope that I'll ever experience any of the above sentiments again in my lifetime.  |

First, I'd like to echo RoamingOrator's well-worded reply to this question. I'm in the same boat. I miss the anticipation, the thought of "I'm going to get to see her in 3 hours and 17 minutes." I miss walking, holding hands, talking about anything and everything or not talking at all. Communication is about so much more than words. I miss having someone to do things for. I miss the feeling of being part of a team. I miss watching bad movies and making up absurd dialogue with her, even though it might not actually be better than what's coming from the screen. I miss the phone calls and text messages and e-mails, even the silly and pointless ones....especially the silly and pointless ones. I miss the feeling of getting up in the morning and asking myself how can I make her life a little brighter, a little more fun, today. Mostly, I miss the whole idea that there is someone out there who really cares. |

I miss going to the grocery store and picking up all of his favorite things.
I miss cooking. I miss serving him a good homemade meal. I miss looking out the window waiting to see him drive up after work. I miss getting the dog all excited to see him arrive. I miss hearing about his day and telling him about mine. I miss doing his laundry. I miss going fishing. I miss hugs and kisses and cuddling. I miss laying my head on his shoulder with his left arm wrapped around me holding my left hand with his right and falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat. I just miss sleep. |
