I'm jealous. They canned the only foreign language that interested me the year I started high school.

I guess there was more demand for Japanese than Latin.


Latin is pretty awesome, I know a little bit of it. Kind of sucks though, after you learn some latin you start understanding other languages too, but you can't speak them so you have to sit there and listen to them call you names in spanish without anything to come back with.

The school I went to had all sorts of foreign languages -- I was leaning towards German, at one point (the Nietzsche fan in me), but my Mom thought Russian would be more useful in the event of a nuclear conflagration.




I took German in High School. Really enjoyed it.

When I'm listening to something like Laibach's version of "Geburt Einer Nation," it would be nice to not have to look up the translation of the lyrics!
