Topic: If God were really standing right in front of you...

Again, it's not the lord's job nor God's job to bring anyone to God. It is our own job's to do as such. Seek and ye shall find. I'm only helping the people that realize the truth, not helping God not helping Jesus. It's for the lost people of this world.

It doesn't matter who you think you're helping. The bottom line is the same.

If you are more concerned about the fate of a human than God is, then that makes you compassionately superior to God.

The very notion that anyone would need you to find their way to God is not only extreme arrogance on your part, but it's a complete insult to the creator of humankind.

The religion you follow had no respect or genuine faith in God at all. And as far as I'm concerned after having read the book that the religion is based on, it's no wonder. It's a story of an extremely inept God. So it's no surprise that you view God as being so inept and have no faith in God to save his own children.

I can fully understand you view.

I have far more faith in our creator than you do. I trust our creator to do the right thing by everyone without my help.

Also further then my previous post, it's NOT GOD'S job to reveal himself to us all. It is our own job to seek and find. God lays evidence and shows himself ALL the time, but people don't see him, they just see the action and devote credit elsewhere.

God doesn't need help. People need the help to see what is before them. God has shown all kinds of signs, but people choose to look away. It's not God's fault people are blind to the truth, it's their own for not seeing the truth right in front of them.

Well, I guess you're finally agreeing with me that the biblical picture of God is a picture of an inept uncaring creator who plays craps with human souls.

Not a picture of a loving caring Fatherly parent image that you had previously attempted to paint.

You're conversations with me have actually diven me even further away from the biblical picture of God. You make God out to be totally pathetic.

What are you going to do when you find out that what you are actually doing is driving people away from God?

How are you going to feel about yourself then? What are you going to do when you get to heaven and find the place empty and you turn to Jesus and ask where all the people are and he says to you, "Well my son, you drove them all away. Why did you not listen to me when I told you to kick the dust from your feet and not argue with people? If you hadn't argued with them maybe they would have found me on their own. Why could you not listen to my simple request and obey my words?".

whoa

Have you no respect for the words of Jesus?

Howso is God gabbling with people souls? God offers the world at a simple asking of to anyone that asks..... how is that unloving. Seems quite providing and loving to me.

ALL i've done is show the love of God and how easy it really is to achieve the gift of heaven. How is this turning away people?

I dont think it is

Exactly, it truely isn't. People get the view that it's a punishment not receiving heaven. But it's not. Heaven is earned, it's a gift, it's not a birth given right. But God has given us easy instructions to receive this gift and they aren't that hard to do.

There's no love in a God who hates people who refuse to believe in him.

So from my point of view you're just preaching religious bigotry, not love.

The picture you paint of God makes me want to puke. ill

GOD HATES NO ONE. But again heaven is a gift it isn't a birth given right.

With every post you just confirm what I've been saying.

"I still don't expect any evidence"

You couldn't find proof of your previous claims, so you make a new one? One which I didn't even challenge. whoa

All you have proven is that I'm right, you won't produce evidence, you will post the same fluff ad nauseum and you will backpedal and use deflection techniques to avoid the issue.
THAT YOU WILL NOT PROVIDE PROOF OF YOUR OPINIONS. (claims, demands, whatever)

yeah, yeah, I know, now I'll get the standard "denial" routine...

rofl

I couldn't care less what you personally need to fill fulfilled. laugh

My observations stand as facts. No "proof" even required. All I've basically done is recap the story.

1. God creates man.
2. Man falls from grace.
3. God tries to "teach" man good morals.
4. God's teaching and parenting methods fail.
5. God intervenes and floods out his flunked childern.
6. God tries again with a new batch of people
7. God's teaching methods and parenting skills fail again.
8. God intervenes again with his 'only begotten son'
9. God's teaching methods and parenting skills fail again.
10. It's over 2000 years later and God probably just gave up by now. laugh

There's nothing to 'prove', nor is there anything to even 'claim'.

All I'm doing is recapping the genuine history of the mythology.

Everyone KNOWS that what I've just decribed is the TRUTH.

There's no need to "prove" it, it's self-evident.

So your constant harping for 'proof' is absurd. There's nothing to prove. All I did was summarize the history of a failed mythology.

I make no 'claims' that require any proof. All I did was summarize as fable that most people already know by heart.

Clearly this fable can't be about any all-wise God. Therefore it necessarily must be as silly and absurd as Greek Mythology.

No 'proof' required. It's ineptitude self-evident by its own stories.

drinker

Do you constantly have to fullfill my prophecies?

If I said I expect you to be silent, would you be?

And no, I don't care what you think about my personal "needs". It should be obvious that all I'm doing is showing everyone that your claims are simply your opinions backed up by zero facts. Claiming that "everyone knows" and there's "no need for proof" is not a good debating tactic. It is however, a good way to demonstrate that you have no evidence.

I know now, have known, and will know, that there is no proof of your fairytale, that's why you keep repeating that "no proof required" line.

It doesn't matter who you think you're helping. The bottom line is the same.

Clearly you see the hipocrisy there. EVERYONE knows that a person who who preaches one way and acts another is a hypocrite.

If you really believed your last statement there, you'd be silent in regards to religion. But no, you do the exact same thing you criticise others for doing. Others do it for, you do it against. It's still the same thing... If you truly trusted our creator, He wouldn't need your "help" to spread your hate.

And again.... I expect no proof.

And again, there's nothing to prove. You haven’t even made any sense.

I'm not the one who is proselytizing religious bigotry.

You guys are. Christianity is religious bigotry. Christianity constantly spreads hatred toward other religions and takes religious bigotry to the maximum by demanding that Jesus is the only way to God and that the Bible is the only true word of God.

There's even a forum rule against the proselytizing of such religious bigotry:

Also, topics which are designated for response exclusively from one religion or belief system, or which may cause that type of polarization, will be deleted.

I just respond directly to Cowboy's accusations. Cowboy has been ignoring the forum rules by proselytizing his religious bigotry and I’ve been countering his attempts to proselytize them by pointing out the flaws in his claims.

He keeps preaching religious bigotry and calls it ‘love’.

I see it as ‘hate’, because it’s really just putting down all other religious views.

I have no problem with Christians who keep their religion to themselves. But Cowboy keeps demanding polarization toward Christianity by demanding that only the Bible represents God’s word, and that Jesus is the only begotten son of God, and the only way to get to God.

That’s a demand of polarization (which amounts to nothing more than religious bigotry)

It keeps coming back to the same thing:

You Christians keep using your religion to bash everyone else as being ‘heathens’, (or rejecting God) and then you call them hypocrites when they point out the utterly ignorant and stupid flaws in your dogma.

You deserve the disrespect you get concerning your dogma when you constantly proselytize that only your religion represents the true word of God, because that very claim is automatically bashing everyone else’s religions and beliefs.

This is why many members of the UN are deeply concerned about religions that proselytize that only they represent the one true God. They recognize that this kind of religious bigotry is unhealthy and often leads to civil unrest and outright political wars.

Have I ever told Cowboy that the creator of this universe won’t accept him unless he believes like I believe?

No I haven’t. flowerforyou

And so there you have your ‘proof’ that you weren’t expecting. It is indeed Cowboy who is spreading hate via his religious bigotry and not me. He’s trying to claim that if I don’t accept that Jesus is the only way to God and that the Bible is the “word of God”, then I am somehow ‘rejecting’ my creator. That’s religious bigotry my friend.

I’m not trying to tell Cowboy what to believe. I’m simply rejecting his proselytizing of religious bigotry.

If he believes that he can get to God through Jesus, then more power to him! drinker

I have never denied him that right. flowerforyou

He's the one who's trying to tell me what to believe. Not the other way around. I'm just showing him the holes in his sales pitch.

If he doesn't like having them exposed all he needs to do is stop proselytizing to me. I'm happy with my relationship with my creator. I don't need his religious bigotry.

Well this is a discussion forum. That's all i have done. I've presented my side in a civalized way, i have not directly insulted any other belief nor belittled one. Have only presented my side, and things that support my side of the discussion. Of course with my side being Christianity i will discuss in a way that promotes it and states it's the only one. I have it directly from God that it makes no difference if
you are christian, muslim, buddhist, jewish, pagan, atheist or
anything else. God does not care what rituals you practice!

Jesus is definitely NOT the only way to salvation.
If you live a beautiful, ethical and kind life then
Jesus will never turn you aside regardless of whether
you "believe in him" or not.

True, but that applies to everything. How do we know everything has atoms? That we have walked on the moon? ANYTHING??!!!

Most everything we know of this world is from someone else telling us of such. Can you prove that we've been to the moon? Other then by what other's say?

So are you then confessing that they idea that Jesus was the son of Yahweh, or that the tales of Yahweh represent the word of God, are nothing more than hearsay rumors just as I have been stating all along?

If so, then why didn't you just agree with me at the onset instead of arguing against a concept that you obviously support? The rumors of Jesus are nothing more than hearsay.

Once you confessed to that we could move forward and discuss which hearsay has more merit, The hearsay that Yahweh represents God, and that Jesus is his only begotten son, or the hearsay that we actually went to the moon?

I think you'd quickly find that we have far more verifiable reasons to believe the hearsay that men were actually on the moon than we have for belieiving the hearsay that you preach to be 'absolute truth'.

As far as I'm concerned you are every bit as self-contradicting as the mythology that you prosyletize. And I've pointed out these contradictions repeatedly.

But clearly you aren't even remotely paying attention to anything I post, because you still think I'm an atheist. laugh

This only means that one who is true and righteous will be like Jesus but it does NOT mean that it is necessary to "believe in Jesus" to be good or to be saved. God recognizes that there are
many religions and many good people who do not believe in Jesus but these people will never be punished if they are good and kind. They will be honored by God the same whether they are Christian or not.

No it means exactly what it says. "No man cometh utno the father, but by me".

The only way to God is through Jesus.
