I am seriously considering getting a Kindle. Anyone have one and have a review for me? I'm reading the reviews online as well.

Everyone I know who has one seems to really like it. They're not for me, though. I prefer real books.

I have a Sony eReader that Jon got me for Christmas. At first I wasn't sure I would like it, but I love it now. It will never replace the feel and smell of books but it is easier to throw it in my pocketbook and carry it with me. I also have problems with carpal tunnel, so the much lighter weight is easier on my hands.

I have a Sony eReader that Jon got me for Christmas. At first I wasn't sure I would like it, but I love it now. It will never replace the feel and smell of books but it is easier to throw it in my pocketbook and carry it with me. I also have problems with carpal tunnel, so the much lighter weight is easier on my hands. That is what I would like. It would be much easier for me to hold and read than a regular book. I have some joint pain sometimes and it can get painful holding open a paperback. Plus my eyes are not so great and I can make the font any size I want.

That is what I like about it....and that when you "fold" the page corner it's only a virtual fold in the corner of the screen and you can do it to multiple pages without looking for bookmarks.

I don't enjoy reading stuff that's long on my computer or my iPhone. I just can't imagine reading an entire book on a kindle. I did hear a complaint about it the other day while on a plane. The person had wished they had a book with them, because they couldn't use their kindle during take off and landing. Not that I think that would be a huge deal, though, but that's normally when I read when I fly.

ereaders are great and don't understand the resistance to them. sure I still love my books and won't stop buying them however when I do get my Kindle, it will be amazing to be able to have thousands of publications at my fingertips. I often have two or three books on the go at one time; usually a fiction, non-fiction and self help so a Kindle or equivalent is awesome. I will probably get the Kindle (my sources say it is the best option) but I really want an iPad. So kindle is a great choice.

The kindle is not like reading on a computer. Computers and cell phones flicker and cause eye strain. e readers do not do that. Its like reading paper.

Three of mine are available on Kindle, and people have contacted me to let me know they really enjoyed them in the Kindle format. I've never used one myself....!

I have thousands of books at my fingertips. 2056 currently, with another etimated 3000 that are my parents... I prefer the real thing. I find it interesting watching the commercials for it and the person is using them at the beach. Wouldn't that be kind of risky to damage the electronics?
