Granted, it's been a while since this first appeared, but hey, it's always fun to walk back down Memory Lane again - even if it's just to appreciate the sunset ... which is a-comin' ...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Barack Obama, in his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America's story."
Mr. Obama:
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? I thought they were Native American Indians.
Did Muslims celebrate the first Thanksgiving day? No. Those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.
Show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution. How about the Declaration of Independence ? Bill of Rights? Didn't think so.
Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England? No.
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America ? No. Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your half-brother, a devout Muslim, advocates slavery, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug-nosed slaves." Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it?
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Nowhere around.
No pictures or accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping advance the cause of Civil Rights exist.
Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage era? Not present. Devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. They are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib', or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, Muslims are all about women's rights.
Where were Muslims during World War II? Aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazis in killing Jews.
Finally, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East. No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims whose assses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo , Egypt on June 4th were silent post 9/11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.
THAT, O, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America .
Oh. Remember the Barbary Pirates ... ? They were Muslim.
Now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.
That's the "Muslim heritage" in America.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

O's 'ride off into the sunset' moment can't come a minute too soon for America ... if it's still recognizable after we kick his sorry asss out.

But Obama is all about hugs and kisses. I wish he would cuddle with a Kodiak Bear! Then again why would I want to wish food poisoning on the bear?

Like I said before, the more I learn about Islam the more I think we need to oppose them rather than fall Dimmi to them. If anything they should be trampled under foot and treated like the cancer they are!

And Death to the Catholic Church TOO!

See, I am fair and balanced!

Tolerance is shared, not expected!

Just a note in history worth mentioning....
10's of thousands of those with the Muslim faith were signed up on the eve of WWII.
Athough Muslims and Jews have not had the greatest history.... Many Jews were saved by Muslims from the Nazi's death camps.
Just a point to ponder in all fairness....

That was then ... btw, I don't see any muslims gettin' all sticky over that 'fairness' issue you reference ... personally, I'll be 'fair' to them when their supposedly 'moderate' (HA!) muslims RENOUNCE the Wahabbistas ... and I'm not holding my breath, so I guess y' can just consider me 'unfair' ...

Just a point to ponder, y' know ...

There are few books out. But just google Muslim involvement WWII. There is lots of infor there. I wrote a paper on religious fights/wars a few years back and was quite surprised what I found.
On another note.... Leaders feared Hitler.... Right across Europe...
If you didn't shake hands with the man you were a dead man!

Avoidance of the question ain't winnin' any points, y'know. If you wrote a PAPER on this subject, then surely you have LINKS to PROOF of the statements ... ?

As for 'leaders fearing Hitler', you don't mention the German Junker industrialists who helped PUT him in power because they felt he was 'a man we can control' ... right. It really made no difference who shook hands with him or not, 'cuz eventually they were ALL dead men ... except Stalin, Churchill, and Eisenhower. I can't count DeGaulle ...

There is a book titled Mesa by Gershman. You will also see some history of this on U-tube too.
I'll agree that leaders in religion have taken the wrong side.
The Catholic church was involved with the nazis while catholic American and other Nations soldiers were fighting the Nazi's.
Many had just seen "this stuff" in the movies but what is written in history is scarier than hell.
Another point to ponder.

Less than a dozen muslims do not a movement make ... and yes, the stuff about Pius XII is well-known, but all these 'points' are straw men and have nothing to do with TODAY's reality.

History repeats itself in the most horrible way if nothing is learned from the past.
Hitler was a straw man, Osama was a straw man, Hussein was a straw man....
All individual men who reaked hell on their people.
The strawmen I guess I'm referring to, (as you say) and there were many, were a shining light on humanitarianism.
It takes just one.... ONE.... To creat GOOD or EVIL....

Another nice attempt at hijackin' - we're not talkin' about 'good' or 'evil' here ... this is about "Mmm-mmm-mmm! Barack! Hussein! Obama!' and his muslimophilic psychophancy for all things foreign and destructive to America. These 'points' you put forth are, at best, nothing more than incidental tangents to that subject ... How 'bout addressing the OTHER things in the OP ... ? You know, those 'muslim' things that are 'part of America's heritage' that 'The UN' claims exist ... Or is that asking too much ... ?

Actually Muslims and Jews shared a great tolerance and respect for each other throughout history. For centuries they coexisted peacefully and in harmony
in Iran, Iraq, Morocco, Lebanon, Yemen, and Egypt. It has only been since WWII that the Jews were kicked out of the rest of the Middle East with almost of them re-settling (without any property which was confiscated from by their countries of origin) in their traditional homeland of Israel.

It is a sad state of affairs and completely unjustifiable based on the
tenets of the religion but WWII and the modern rise of Israel were the sore points. Those who really sincerely want peace would like to see a return of the days of mutual respect, coexistence and support. But much of the Muslim community still rejects Israel - for example, Fatah and the PLO are still insisting that their part of the West Bank and Gaza be "free of Jews" - a concept originally coined by the Nazis - "Judenrein" - an appalling and unacceptably bigoted concept.
