you guys are great....thanks for the laughs! Until we know for certain there is nothing else out there I'm looking at stars.. ;)

Why not? The world needs dreamers. Just make sure you have a more sensible person with you so you don't walk into poles.

I'm really interested to know if anyone really seen a UFO ...no question about it.

not a UFO but I still question what did we see?

Taking a shortcut about 17 years ago with a friend on a dirt road to one of our favourite clubs. When 2 shooting stars fall very close to us. We immediately stopped and a friend of mine walks over to the spot where we thought they landed, when all of a sudden they fly back out of the ground taking the same arch they fell down with. I always wandered what did we see that night?

Did you have 'field mushrooms' for dinner that night? laugh

I know I doubted my sanity, except the two other people saw what I saw, as I saw it....freaky sh*te!

yep

if ya do not know how to identify it it is unidentified

but i guess technically there is no true unidentified flying objects

how can i say that you ask

some one or some thing built it

thus they can identify it

but hey what do i know

17 years later I find that life does exist in space- well it might not be intelligent life but it still exists in a form of green and blue algae found on occasional meteor rocks. If there is one form of life, surely out there somewhere there must be other forms as well, perhaps even intelligent life, conscious life. Just a thought.

Lots of sightings, never a decent video, just like all the ghost stories people have.

I saw one in central Oregon over ten years ago. It looked a bit like this picture

You could tell it was huge and flying low but it didn't make a sound. I was with about five other people. We watched it for a few minutes before it flew out of view.

Ever since, I've been fascinated with the subject of UFOs. My belief is that they are most likely man made but you never know

Thats exactly what I saw one night in Ontario Canada ohwell

"UFO's"just seem fishy to me.they're supposed to be so advanced technology wise but yet the first reported sighting wasn't until the 1920's?

i don't get it.why has nobody seen any earlier than that?

They are as old as recorded history. Man has been seeing them and reporting them since mankind began...every culture all around the world.

When I was a small child my grandmother handed me a pair of old navy gun binoc's. What she showed me was as large as the clouds over the mountains. (mountains were some 20 miles away and the clouds extended for miles - object must have been 10 or 15 miles in diameter - or so my grandfather said).

We were in California and the mountains were on fire. The fire departments could not contain it and had been fighting it for days.

The object was hovering above the smoke and small round things were flying out from under it.

Everywhere the small round things went the fire went out.

The fire department later said they had no idea how they got the fire under control.

Never did figure out what the thing was and no one ever said they saw the thing except my grandparents. (I quit saying anything cause all the other kids made fun of me).

cool new UFO Firefighter

They are Sacred (Maybe Magical) where I live..

Mushrooms are a “sacred crop” in Oregon

A festival fact sheet states there are 14,000 known species of mushrooms in the world but only about 3,000 are considered edible. It also warned that “nobody should be eating mushrooms unless you know what you’ve picked.”

Chanterelles, for example, are orange or yellow in color and funnel-shaped. Chanterelles also have gill-like ridges underneath and have a fruity smell that’s reminiscent of apricots. They have a mild, peppery taste.

“We sold chanterelles for under $7 per pound at Yachats this year, and that’s not because of the bad economy but due to a high volume crop,” explained Brad Cleary who sells mushrooms to various culinary markets in the area.

Cleary said one of the nice things about picking wild mushrooms is the impact on local forests is negligible because picking a mushroom is not harmful to nature.

In fact, the act of picking mushrooms – from finding, harvesting and then selling wild mushrooms – has become very popular and profitable in the area. So much so, that word of mouth about a big harvest travels fast around here.

Big mushroom harvest means big money

“We’ve heard of the big harvest. It’s hard to say how big, but we’ve heard it’s been pretty good to real good,” explained Bobby Rudel, an expert grower for the famed “Rain Forest Mushroom Company,” that’s located on Highway 20 in nearby Eddyville. Rain Forest has been growing prized Maitake, Shitake, oyster and buttercap mushrooms for more than two decades, and is considered one of the top growers in Oregon.

Rudel noted that his company no longer buys wild mushrooms such as chanterelles, but “we’ve been a source for mushrooms for a long time around here, and we know what’s going on.”

For example, a Rain Forest guide to mushrooms describes the chanterelle’s texture as “tender but not crumbly.” Because chanterelles do not disintegrate as easily as other wild mushrooms they are used in a wide variety of recipes that require the mushroom to be tossed, stirred or sautéed.

One chief at an Oregon coast restaurant described them as “essential” for cooking with such seafood as scallops because of their superb flavor. When asked where he gets chanterelles, the chef said he goes to various “tent sales” that crop up during mushroom season along the coast and inland near Deadwood and other areas where buyers conduct their business.

There’s also a place in Portland called “Alpine Foragers Exchange” that’s made its reputation on buying mushrooms from seasonal pickers in our area.

In fact, a recent Oregon Public Broadcasting educational program titled “Harvesting the Wild,” noted how wild mushrooms are “big business,” and that dealers buy “thousands of pounds a day” from area mushroom pickers.

“The wild mushroom business is one of the fastest growing produce industries in Oregon, with an annual export that exceeds $8 million.” In general, the PBS program stated that $400 per day is generally considered an acceptable minimum for a local Oregon mushroom harvester

yes, with two other people in the car.

...and 3 F-1-11's zooming after 'them' within minutes of seeing them...living in a remote, isolated region of Australia, with big skies, we do get to see a whole lot more...country folk look up, more than city folk...

You mean F-117's? F-111's are long range bombers, not the tupe of aircraft to send after UFO's.

F-117A maybe? When they initially started flying them in the early 80's there were reports of triangle shaped UFO's.

Only in Nevada. They were tested in the laste 70's and early to mid 80's before they were released to the public, here in Nevada at Area 51 and the Tonopah Test Range.

The F 111 will or did but they are still used some.. but before they were retired they ran circles around a F 117.. and if u ever watched a gulf war video from Desert Storm u usually seen a F 111 at or near on eash wing of the F 117.. I can see F 111 going after one they are slow at 1st but thier top speed is at the Top. They looked like a SR 71 paint Job after doing speed test.

Arrdvark might be the only thing that has the EM capability to actually 'see' them.

You've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.
