I'm in the middle of The Tudors. Same story of Henry VIII that we all know, but with really interesting insight into the personalities involved. The sex and nudity are pretty good, too. It's an "instant watch".

I saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas a few days agor on Netflix. That's a weird movie, but I liked it. This writer and lawyer go on a trip from L.A. to Las Vegas and just trip out on acid and other drugs non stop. It's a cult classic.

ok, i just watched THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO

swedish film, based on a novel which sold over 8 million copies. it was the highest grossing film in history in Sweden, and the highest gross film in Europe for 2009.

Apparently it is a trilogy....I loved it----

A double intertwined story....murder mystery, framed suspects and some volatile rape scenes. . . not for the weary that's for sure...it does come with subtitles but is also dubbed in english so you can watch it either way...I definitely recommend it.

It is a trilogy. I couldn't tear myself away. It would have been even better if I had watched them all in the correct order.

If that's very old, what do you consider movies from the 30's and 40's?

That would be The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. You find out a little bit more about all the characters with each episode. I'm not sure why the series was so fascinating. Probably a combination of all the factors. Interesting characters with interesting relationships and a plot that is a little different. It got so that I hardly even noticed the subtitles.

Re-watched Network last night. It's from 1978. As timely now as it ever was. It's a drama, but it would be a comedy if it didn't ring so true. I'm having tons-o-fun going back for older movies that I either missed, or had forgotten about.

I watched grown ups. Did Adam Sandler lose his balls when he grew up? Seems like he has, IDK.

ok, i watched part two of the trilogy tonight, like it alot. i am watching it in english language though, it has that option on the dvd. i also went ahead and rented the thrid one, the girl who kicked the hornetts nest. One thing i think is funny how she was being killed and it's like kind of a loss knowing it's a trilogy because you pretty much know she is not going to die, even though they lead you to believe so. I did like part two better than part one. Part one was a bit hard to follow. but part two, was interesting with the whole family ties thing...Part three, tomorrow...

I just got

CASTLE ---the SERIES.

I started watching the first season last night, it was pretty good. Different than I expected but still good. I like that it has a touch of humor. I even spotted stephen cannel making a cameo so that was cool.

There are occational nods to Firefly, which is great.

Turn of the 20th Century story following the lives and loves of the family and their servants in their home, Downton Abbey. The 6 episodes are only the first season, apparently, and ends as Britain declares war for WWI.

Interesting, enjoyable, but I'm a bit miffed that I have to wait for the next season...
