You're welcome.

King's son, who goes byJoe Hill, is also a really good writer: Both his books Horns, and Heart-Shaped Box are good. I haven't read his short story collection yet- 20th Century Ghosts.

Yes, the main character goes back in time to try and prevent Kennedy's assassination.

I've seen the TV movie, but haven't read the book, it's a good backstory for Rose Red, but wasn't written by King, though based on his script for Rose Red.

Oh? I thought he did write it. It still looks interesting though a bit.

The producers hired a writer, this was back before Rose Red was released and they were trying to advertise it as being based on a true story. When it was originally published it was published under Nancy Travis' character's name from Rose Red as if she had edited the diary to book form.

Wasn't it based on the Thornewood family?

It was filmed at the Thornewood Mansion, but King was inspired by the Winchester House.

I went to see The Pact and Prometheus at the weekend.

The Pact was, hands down, the worst movie I have seen in a long time. The plot was so disconnected that entire strands of the plot line are persued for the entire movie and then, suddenly, abandoned without resolution or reference.

If you like Ridley Scott, go see Prometheus. Beautifully shot and even without the Alien connection would still be a fine movie. If there's no sequel then it was the crappiest ending ever.
