I just got a call from my daughter who will be 20 next week, she was all in tears and freaking out. It takes a lot for Sarah to get so upset that she cries, she is one tough cookie.

She raised her cat from a tiny kitten, a stray she found on the side of the walkway by their apartment. Mello's eyes weren't even opened yet, he was so tiny. She did a great job taking car of him and he grew to be a wonderful cat. Her father, my ex, told her that since Mello hasn't been fixed and is starting to 'spray' she has until Sunday to get rid of the cat. Sarah asked if her friend could take the cat until her birthday and she will use the money she gets to pay for his neutering. Her father agreed so Sarah went in her room to call her friend and set it up......

and her father took the cat opened the door to the apartment and threw him out into the snow!!! The cat took off, terrified, and now Sarah can't find him!!

I can't believe that idiot!!!!!mad mad explode rant rant

It's really hard to sit back & not say anything to your ex. My son also 20 still lives at home with his Dad. I haven't spoken to his father for 3 years & when I talk to my son sometimes I just want to go knock my ex upside the head! My ex hates cats & would probably have done the same thing. Hopefully someone finds your daughters cat & returns it.sad2

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww,,,((((((E))))))))flowerforyou

I feel for your daughter. Know the "connection" she has for that cat. My Bear came to me the same way.

Cat's are resilent, he'll find his way home,,,

dunno if its available in your daughter's area, but here, you can take the cat/dog to the local humane society and get the "fix" cheap, or for no cost at all. Their attempt at cutting down the ferel population.

Just a suggestion for WHEN her kitty returnsflowers

Oh ya,,,ex's suckexplode grumble laugh laugh laugh

My Foxy got out when I first moved to 29palms. I was terified. I kept thinking of all the things that might eat her out there! I put her litter box under the window she got out of, and left it open for her. I went searching around the entire neighborhood and couldn't find her. That night, she came back on her own, jumped back through the window and dashed into the closet, and wouldn't come out for a few hours.

As for you ex.....Heinlein said “How we behave toward cats here below determines our status in heaven.” He had better be careful!

Is it pathetic that I wanted to cry just reading that ... ?

I hope he comes back. I couldn't imagine what I would be like if that happened to my baby.

Note to your ex

"Good job douche bag! If you were really looking for a way to make your daughter resent you....you found the way.

When you pass away and no one gives a sh**. Remember the souless crap you did. Gutless twat"

Have a heart attack

if it's a small one, have two.

What a jerk!
Poor girl.
My daughter is an animal freak. She still brings home strays!
Nothing upsets us more than being mean to defenseless animals.
I hope she finds Mello.

The good news is she found him this morning...the bad news is her father told her if she brought Mello back in the house, he would kill him. So Sarah and her friend took him to the spca but he was still traumatized and went after the workers. She didn't want to tell them exactly what happened, and they told her friend Mello would have to be put down because he seemed feral.

My daughter is heartbroken.

damn it ,your ex sounds like he needs an attitude adjustment.
hope the kitty makes it back home and pisses in his shoes or on his pillows. sounds like its time for your daughter to get a place of her own if she can.
