What is it about those goodnights? Your heart pounds and you feel like your off in dream-love-land.
You know your about to go, but you wait for that next word, that next sound, or that next touch. Can it last just one minute longer. Can it be real enough to last forever. Is it that bond that you've always hoped for? That one who knows your heart as if God himself whispered it in their ear. That goodnight that lets you sleep with the knowledge that there is a tomorrow. |

 Saying good-night is usually filled with anticipation for me Is he going to go in for the kiss? Should I meet him halfway? Will he be a good kisser? Will he like my kiss? Now I've stressed myself out  |

My first girlfriend, I totally chickened out on the first kiss lol. We were in front of my house in the car, the time seemed right to kiss, but I didn't have the guts lol, so I didn't do it. I kicked myself afterward for not lol, course she thought it was cute though lol. |

Goodnight, it holds a note of bittersweet for me. There's the anticipation of the kiss, the longing for some sort of established nightly ritual with a person close to my heart.
Personally, more then goodnight, I like good morning. I don't know, when I say goodnight, I sort of push away, go inside and bake, or do something to keep my mind occupied. |

We say 'Thankyou for this day, thankyou for being present in this day' before saying goodnight.
Saying goodbye is the most torturous...so far we have survived 21 hours apart, it's extraordinary!....the missing....I know he is right here, tucked in my heart, his voice the push of a button away...his presence, his energy is all around me... ...and still I feel quartered. What is coming from this time apart is the room to look at what we are creating, and to feel what the love is, and our places in it. Goodnight, when beside you, is comforting...goodnight when 2000 miles apart is torturous. |
