Having been urged to "Bring Your Colorful Smile" to the weekly peaceful demonstration in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh, kids and their parents painted faces, flew kites and danced with clowns - until Israeli soldiers arrived and tear gassed them. More distressing yet is the thought of how many other villages regularly endure this. More here, here, here.

Flying the kite right in the dudes face was pretty stupid.

Those people looked pretty well dressed for being slaves of an apartheid state.

They purposly dressed in colors of happyness and peace had you read the dialog you would know that.

I think it couldnt be missed actualy and your just makeing a comment that is negative to pursue an agenda.

its my opinion that Umerikas Israel apologists who fill the corporate media and our government, are just as despicable as the Israeli criminals, and are a disgrace to our country.

How dare people demonstrate for happiness and freedom.shocked

How dare people peacefully protest.shocked

What would our fore fathers think of them?shocked

Our traitorous fore fathers that we revere so much and even print their faces on our 'money' -would have been hung as traitors or shot as terrorists if we had not won our freedom at the cost of many lives.

How dare we.

And all the times peaceful protests have turned violent when the Israelis held back. Nice idea but bad execution. Don't push on the fence of war behind the mask of peace. And how many Islamic terrorist bombings were done by children so far? I know at least a few were.

One kid managed to surrender with a hurt jacket on that didn't go off. So about all these peaceful demonstrations?

What if someone threw a protest and nobody cared? tongue2

Leave the men with guns home!

Bring our military home from the Middle east if all they are going to do is support Israel.

I know alot but not everything.

Remember, in the Jan 2009 Gaza onslaught in which Israel used chemical weapons on an unarmed population, there was a similar disinformation program launched on popular sites like Facebook and YouTube to present a white-washed account of Operation Cast Lead.

"Thought-police is here"

"The Foreign Ministry unveiled a new plan this week: Paying talkbackers to post pro-Israel responses on websites worldwide. A total of NIS 600,000 (roughly $150,000) will be earmarked to the establishment of an “Internet warfare” squad.

The Foreign Ministry intends to hire young people who speak at least one language and who study communication, political science, or law – or alternately, Israelis with military experience gained at units dealing with information analysis.

The sad truth is that had Israeli citizens believed that their State is doing the right thing, they would have made sure to explain it out of their own accord. Without being paid. "

let me ask you this... why is it that every country over there does the same things to each other, and they all get money from the US, and you only single out Israel?

You would have to provide me with an example of a country that takes our money then turns around and spies on us.

one that takes our money and has wmds and we havent held to account

one that has attaked a US Navel Vessal (USS Liberty) and gotten away with it.

Realy I want to know what other country does that and gets a free pass from our government and media?

In 2006 the US Govt amounts were (in millions):

Israel 2520
Egypt 1795
Columbia 558
Jordan 461
Pakistan 698
Peru 133
Indonesia 158
Kenya 213
Bolivia 122
Ukraine 115
India 94
Haiti 163
Russia 52
Ethiopia 145
West Bank/Gaza 150
Liberia 89
Bnagladesh 49
Bosnia 51

Interesting that many or even most are politically related rather than poverty related.

The US is the 18th in the world per capita for foreign aid. Hope this answers your question :)

this is from yahoo answers... the only one that ever sank any of our ships that i know of would be russia and israel...

but Pakistan and Jordan is full of al qudia training camps, Columbia and Peru is where most of the cocaine comes from... so, again, why only Israel?

those are countries that recieve US aid. We have attacked or waged a cold war against most of them and I can guarentee you that if most if not all of these countries did what isreal does now we would either invade or declare an economic boycott and cut off all aid.

Imagine the outrage Saddam Hussain tear gassed children.

Or Khadaffi?

I think Israel makes a fine example of american hypocracy.

and an FYI If germans were tear gassing Israeli children with the complicity of our government and media I would be defending them.

Saddam killed way more then 30,000 of his own people. Don't forget the people from and in other countries he killed. Then there were all those he had tortured and experimented on.

Secrets of Nabi Saleh protests

Organized army of boys following one pied piper: Arrest, indictment of seven youngsters involved in Nabi Saleh demonstrations leads to revelations about inner workings of man who organizes violence with military precision. Ynet offers behind-scenes look at most violent protests around

Yair Altman

Violent demonstrations have been held at the Palestinian village of Nabi Saleh, near Ramallah and the West Bank security fence, every Friday for nearly four years now. The demonstrations which include throwing Molotov cocktails and rocks and setting fire to tires, broke out over a land dispute with settlers from the nearby Neve Tsuf settlement.
