Ladies, ladies, ladies...

I really would like to know why it is us men have to do all the contacting..?????

We are living in the year 2011 aren't we..
Not to say romance is dead.. im a very romantic guy but aren't women fighting to be treated as equals all the time..yet the expect the guy to do all the chasing and approach work..

Men.. wouldnt it be really great to go into your account and see at least one, two.. god forbid maybe even three mail messages flashing up in your inbox??

I think the majority of us on here are avarage joes.. the other stunning men.. i dont know.. do you get lots of mail? Do women reply to your mail messages? If so please let me know, it would be interesting to see if there are any trends..

I have approached a number of women whos profiles (and i wont lie, photos) have appealed to me.. yet nothing back from my messages..

What's the key ladies.. please enlighten us :)

thanks!

After I had been in the forums for awhile, I started getting lots of mail here. Really, it's all about the exposure.

It's definitely better this way, because, when I first signed up here, I tried sending out some e-mails to local people, and I never got a reply. Not once. Now, as a guy who has written 7 books, I feel like I'm perfectly capable of concocting an interesting/amusing first e-mail, but none of that seems to have mattered.

So I just finally decided, screw it, they can write to me. And they do.

In compliance with full disclosure statutes, I have to admit that I still have not heard from anyone I would consider a legitimate dating prospect, but mail is mail, right?

I have received a handful of mail from interesting prospects and more from apparent scammers. You gotta Tiptoe thru the Tulips with mail.

I only get half my mail answered, the ones read but not answered I assume are "no thank you." I answer all of my mail.

Women do not generally want to appear to be 'hunters' because that is a masculine trait. If you have something in your profile she can remark on (like: "Wow, Ive never seen a man who likes to cook and clean before") then it doesnt feel as much like a 'hunter' message. Soooooo, if you dont want to contact women, you better have a darned interesting profile.

You can then persue her and make her feel feminine as such. Otherwise she may think youre just not interested.

I had sent out a lot of emails and did receive some back. Went on some dates, but for one reason or another, they did not work out.

I decided to just have fun in the forums.

The one that *caught me* was way to beautiful for me to even consider sending an email to.

Yes, you heard me... SHE emailed ME... she took my breath away, and still does.

So, why don't women email men first?

Some do...
One did...
it worked

They sure do. And, in my experience, I've been totally surprised by how MANY of them have written me to tell me I'm wrong, or to argue about something I wrote in the forums or in my profile, or to try to persuade me that I should try dating them even though they're extreme alcoholics with six kids and borderline ebola.

Women WILL email men first. Not the ones I was hoping would write, but you can't have everything....

Oh I don't know... maybe the anthropological approach you mentioned about the hunter/gatherer thing.

I understand what you're trying to say, but I refuse to believe it.

It's all a game, and it just depends on how you play it.

If you don't want to hold anything back, get a pic of yourself with a fish. The bigger the better. Chicks REALLY dig that.

First, whining about not getting mail is probably not the best approach.

Second, many of us women do contact men first, as well as respond to emails.

If women are not responding, perhaps change what you're writing. And remember that you've only been here a few days so far.

It gets better bro

Wait till you get actual postal service mail.

My woman sends me great love in a box.

Jack Daniels coffee....chutney, glass sculptures, pipes, treats, spices and all sorts of goodies.

You think e-mails are cool? That's nothing next to a bottle of Jim Beam wing sauce in the mail....just as a cool little suprize.

Well dude, if the following phrase "Nice guy" appears in your profile....you are doomed.

Im talking about feminine and masculine energy.

I don't see it as being any less feminine for women to contact men first. Women who refuse to make first contact are old fashioned, though.

Oh, my gosh, real mail? I remember that. How fun! Care packages. Im jealous. You can keep your ol' emails. meh.

My woman sends me about 15 pounds of random cool stuff occasonally. Last one she packed and sent with the help of RowBaby.

It is like christmas and love jammed into a box. It makes me feel like a kid again.
